At the Santa Monica location.....not a thing! They are the most consistent experience I have ever had with uhaul and my family has been renting since the 70s!!!! I couldn't say enough!

The seats were stained, and dirty. After driving the steering wheel left my hands sticky. There was exposed wiring near one of the tail lights. Employees are friendly, and have a good sense of humor.

It took us an hour to get our equipment even though we had done the express online check-in. It took forever because there was only one cashier to help the 20+ people who seemed to also have a 9am appointment. Line was already formed at the door at 9am and was out the door the entire time we were there, so I'm sure some people had to wait even longer. Then when we get to the counter we have to go outside to hook up the trailer and come back and wait for the cashier to finish up with whoever she was helping before we can finish with her. Everyone working there was nice helpful and pleasant but I seriously do not understand how you don't have more cashiers on a Sunday which is clearly going to be a popular moving day. At least give your customers some warning, we would have picked up on Saturday if we had known it'd be such a long wait first thing on Sunday morning. This is probably the 5th or 6th time I've used UHaul and have never seen anything like it.

This is a comment about the reservation system, rather than the location. Our reservation was originally at a location that did not have a truck available, costing us an extra hour of time and an extra 10 miles in mileage charges.

I need to tell you that the line on Sunday morning for pickup was INSANE. I stood in line for an entire hour, with ONE clerk present to assist customers. She was very friendly and did an amazing job at keeping the customers from getting seriously annoyed, but that is abysmal staffing and not fair to your customers or employees to leave her alone like that at a time when it is clearly super busy with people renting trucks for the day to move etc. I highly recommend changing your staffing roster to address this issue. I, for one, will not rent again with Uhaul unless I hear that that condition has improved.. plus, the online "express" checkin should be developed so that you can actually check in online and then just show up and grab your car, not have to stand in line regardless. That totally defies the purpose. Let me know when you address this issue and I will happily return as a customer! I feel bad that I can't remember the young lady who helped at this location! she made sure I was able to get my truck at the time I wanted, she also made sure I was given extra miles because the distance was further than what was stated on the computer. The gentleman who we reviewed the truck from also provided perfect assistsance making sure everything was clean gas amount was correct on the form and truck. This was just a very nice uhaul station!!!

I use this spot whenever I need a truck/van. If the line is long, make good use of your time and use the precheck-in service that is on the reservation email. It will save you and them time. Drop off is easy. There is a gas station right next door. We will see you again soon.

Truck did not have the extras that I ordered online. I had to reorder everything at the counter. Why sign up online if you have to redo everything.

This was an awful experience. I was told a lot of wrong information which ended up costing me around $500 extra dollars. Really frustrating.

The staff was not particularly friendly. It was also an inconvenience that I could not park in the store lot while paying to rent a van. The gas level was a bit off from where the representative said it was. There were several loiterers looking for work in the parking lot. I overheard one even telling another guest that he could help her rent the van and move her stuff in an all-in deal. She seemed intimidated and I think she left the lot...you probably lost a customer there. Overall, the experience was a turn-off. In contrast, I had a much better experience renting a van a few weeks earlier from Home Depot. Just being honest. Hope you can make some adjustments to provide a better customer experience moving forward.
