The manager made the extra effort to call me, to tell me when the van was turned in, so that I was able to pick it up on time. He was a sweetheart.

The truck was dirty, no one walked me out to look at the gas, vehicle condition or anything. I also ordered moving blankets and was told after signing the contract that they were sorry but didn't have them. The supplies I also ordered (wardrobe boxes), I was told the place didn't have when I arrived. I'm very unhappy with the service for this encounter

The staff at that location does too many jobs so could not give me proper instructions on the rental truck and I'm having issue with mileage discrepancy when U returned the truck.

Gentleman charged an inaccurate fee as retaliation for comeing in 15 minutes before close. Even though the young man told us to come back at 8 which made zero sense because this location closed at that time. Hence why we came 15 minutes before close. The gentleman was rude and aggressive and did not want to service us. I get him wanting to get off work early however he didn't have to be rude and malicious. It's too much ill treatment to explain fully I can't bare reliving it. All I know is this young man needs training badly. He seemed ill informed with u-haul methods and procedures. I get not being well versed in your job or not being able to answer a simple question like "how much will I be charged?" That question should be a no brianer. It's not even the lack of knowdgle but the rude, lieing and vindictive behavior.

I scheduled my truck to be picked up in Castro valley. The was was not there and they forced me for drive to San Leandro and pick up the truck there. The condition of the truck was filthy muddy and they did not check the truck out before handing me the keys. I didn't not have time to check it because I was already late. The truck was giving to me with a 1/4 tank of gas but on paper it said it has 3/8 I returned it with exactly 3/8. And when I return the truck the clerk was trying to charge me for cleaning, gas, and the window handle that I saw him break off in front of me. I told him I wasn't paying anything and drove off. And I got charged a week later. This is the last time I use uhaul

1. I ordered two dollies and blankets but when I got the truck home I discovered they had not been put in the truck so I had to drive back to get them. 2. You should go over the rental contract with customers prior to giving them the keys. For example, I wasn't sure whether I would need to fill the tank when I was done (you website only says a flat fee plus $1.19/mile) and had to consult the contract to figure it out. But it should have been made clear beforehand. 3. The fuel tank was not quite full when I picked up the truck. To be fair, I was asked to check it myself beforehand, but YOU should have checked it to make sure it was full. For these reasons, my Uhaul experience was somewhat frustrating.

I would recommend removal of this location from your services. My reservation was used for a rental the day before my scheduled day. I called the day of my rental to verify the time and the Manager argued with me that I was there the day before. I was then on the phone for over an hour with Uhaul before the problem was resolved. Not a good experience at all.
