If it wasn't for the GPS it would have been more difficult to find. The GPS kept showing we have arrived, there's only one small sign with u haul on it. All the gas stations on highway 36 were out of gas.

Friendly service, good equipment.
The computer system is not good at all. Took over an hour and several phone calls to override a brainless program with zero common sense. A paper form would have only taken 10 minutes. This exact thing happened twice at two different locations. Bad system! Give the people some credit!
The person responsible for renting the equipment was busy "cooking" and told us we would have to wait a while. after about 15 minutes he was ready to take care of us. There was also a pickup parked in front of our equipment. had to move the trailer to be able to back up to it. (the employee did it, not us)

A very friendly staff of one! The young man who rented us the moving van was not familiar with the computer system, but he kept at it until he got the job done. He checked the machine over and then sent us on our way.
I was setup for rental at S&M in Goodland, Ks and the next day you rented the equipment out before I picked it up and I had to have my wife take off work to drive me to St. Francis to get unchecked and bad equipment. Flat on trailer had to be fixed in Goodland, Ks by S&M on Sunday of Memorial week-end and I was fortunate enough to find one person that was kind enough to change it for me. Pretty lucky on my part and pretty poor on yours for renting the equipment out right before I got there. Poor decision! A 5 Star for S&M and a 2 for you and Majestic at St. Francis.
Everything went well though the fuel tank was not full when we picked the truck up.
Disorganized communication with corporate vs local operator. Had to travel 140 miles round trip to get truck when other operators were much closer. Operator gad no idea I was coming to pick up truck...said I was lucky he was even there. Truck performed well on the trip at least.

The best service I have received from a U-Haul location.
I rented a truck from this location, but had to drive 70 miles to pickup the truck. I know it's western Kansas (lived here all my life) but to have to drive that far for a pickup is ridiculous. Dispatcher was not very helpful and just used a weak excuse for being able to get truck closer. For having to drive that far to get truck I had to ask for some compensation, and even then it was just an extra day. I had a problem with the fact that When renting a large truck I was only given 3 days. When people move themselves it takes longer than 3 days. This is not necessarily a problem with the pickup location but problem in the UHaul business model. All of our things did not fit in one truck so I had to rent a trailer the next day. The gentleman at the St. Francis location did not have me dropping off the trailer at the same location as the truck at our destination. It upset the person at one UHaul location in Wichita when I dropped both truck and trailer off at one location. These locations were less than 10 miles apart. This really upset me because the pickup locations for my truck and trailer were 70 miles apart. I told the person when I reserved the truck, and when I pickup the trailer, that I wasn't going to drop off until Dec 29th or 30th which was almost a week after my pickup date. When I called dispatch to see if I could get the truck moved to a closer pickup point, and was denied, I told her I wasn't going to drop it off till Dec. 29th or 30th. I got a call about drop off 3 days I pickup trailer. When I arriving at our new home on the evening of Dec. 28th I got call about drop off because he had a reservation behind the truck I had. I told him I was going to drop off the next day Dec. 29th. From my perspective the lack flow of simple,but crucial, information through UHaul network has left bad view of your business in my mind. A simple note made on the account that "renter will not drop off till Dec 29th" would have saved time and head ache for both parties. As a person moving his family a across the state right after the holidays and dealing with a lot of moving parts UHauls added phone calls did help the logistical juggling act of moving your home. The equipment functioned just as it should. However the 26 ft truck I rented should have diesel engine for its size and weight capacity. The added up front cost for UHaul would benefit the customer with more efficent power and fuel milage (a terrible 4.85 mpg with gas engine) and the benefits for UHaul a longer service life and lower overall maintenance for vehicle life. Overall customer service was lacking for having to drive 70 miles for a pickup And add phone calls for lack of communication on UHaul's part.
The person we had to deal with was not very nice. We had talked to him week before when we were in St. Francis to make sure it was okay to drop truck off on Sunday as it would be difficult for us to deliver it Monday morning by 7:00 a.m. At that time he told us that he was very busy on Sunday....he guessed it would be okay if we had patience and could wait. So the following Sunday we went to drop off truck. He told me he "usually does not check trucks in on Sunday but he guessed he could do it since he was not very busy today". He asked us why we were moving to St. Francis...we told him the cost of living was cheaper there instead of Castle Rock. His comment back to us was he hated "us Colorado people coming out and making his property taxes raise". He was generally very rude to us.

I don't care for U-Haul telling me how long my move will take. I paid for three days with the trailer, but returned it in two days. I was told U-Haul calculates the time it will take and that is what I would be charged.
We made the reservation through the national reservation center, and requested a 2-wheel appliance mover and a dozen of the heavy moving blankets. Neither were in the truck when I picked it up, and the man at the pickup point was not aware I had requested them, and he does not keep those items at his station. It was frustrating, because the agent on the national 800-number took that information from us when we reserved and paid for the truck & trailer.
I am not sure if this location is uploaded for a drop off location for all customers. I was not aware that I could have dropped off here until my husband mentioned it to me. I'd check and make sure that this is visible on your systems.
I would not recommend uhaul to anyone. It had nothing to do with this site and everything to do with the fact that I was not given the equipment ordered and then not given equal size equipment for the same price as my contract stated. The equipment was available and I did have to rent it from you at a much higher total cost plus a number of other expenses that were incurred because of this.
Bud was extremely helpful and contacted us at about 2 in the afternoon, so we didn't have to wait until late in day before rental to let us know that we had to come to St Francis instead of Goodland.
The manager at majestic service was very helpful in taking care of my check in and clearing up a problem of my misunderstanding of where the truck should be returned to.
The people there was very nice and helpful. This was the second time i rented a u-haul. It made my move very easy. Thank-You
trailer was filthy and we were that we had to clean it before returning
1. this location was 70 miles out of our way round trip to pick up this uhaul. 2. When my son picked it up he was told he had to sign for the most expensive insurance coverage you have. Never get the insurance coverage because my insurance covers it. 3. The person my son had to deal with at this uhaul location had been drinking was presently drinking during the rental of the uhaul. My son felt he had no chose but to sign for the extra coverage I had already refused. He was made to believe he could not have the uhaul unless he agreed to the terms. 4. This will be the last time we use uhaul if we can not get comformation at the time of reservation as to pickup location. We will not drive that far out of our way to get a uhaul when we already have to drive extra miles to return one as it is. The time before this last August we had to drive 130 round trip to pick up a uhaul when we had a uhaul location 30 miles away. This trip all we should have had to do is walk two blocks to pick up the truck. Not find someone to drive my son 35 miles away. The quality of uhaul has slips more and more over the years. I have in the past 3 years rented from uhaul at least 2 to 3 times a year and the service gets worse with each trip.
