First let me say that the new employee, Elizabeth was wonderful. She had great information, showed me how things worked on the truck and was able to process my order quickly. Second, let me say that the owner/manager was not as helpful. As I drove the truck out of the driveway it was making odd engine noises, I went back into the office after having to wait for them to open the gate. I told him of the noises and behavior of the truck. He said, just drive it to the other store and tell them to check it out for you. He did not offer any further assistance. He also left Elizabeth in the store on her own because of some other U-Haul business he also owns. So she had to call someone to assist her with processing my contract. Overall This location was horrible. I will never return to this store - the owner/manager did not show the usual concern that I have learned to expect from U-Haul. I am so disappointed that I'm ready to find another way to get myself moved. Thanks to his I don't care attitude I lost a complete 18 hours of potential moving time. Also the vehicle had only 30 miles of gasoline in the tank. Fortunately, I was able to make it to the 65th and Highway 50 store where they made things right after much arguing with their support staff to return this truck early and get me into a better maintained vehicle. Why did I insist on a different truck?! Because I did not feel safe in the one rented to my by the owner/manager at 7951 Folsom Boulevard. The employee was so new she did not know to inform me of the difference between returning the vehicle to the same shop I rented from versus returning it to another store. Apparently there is a big difference that does affect how issues are resolved. Poor employee needs some training. I've used U-Haul over the years and NEVER have I had such a poor quality vehicle placed into my hands. Even in the backwoods of Seattle their vehicles were well maintained and ran smoothly. I was afraid for my life and I believe that the owner/manager should be held accountable for his attitude of let someone else fix the issue and I don't care attitude. Telling me all will be ok. But at the second store I was there for four hours while they waded through getting things fixed for me. This is not the behavior I have come to respect U-Haul for, and not a good representation of what the company has come to mean to me as a paying customer. Your fleet is not in the best condition. This vehicle was not cleaned, windows were filthy. What happened to U-Haul?

Yony STruck hadn’t been cleaned out there was hair ties and hair clips and a cup in the cab. And various nails ets. In the back. They were nice but had no idea what they were doing
