App wasn't working for contactless pick-up. The keys weren't in truck anyway. Had to call to find out where I was to go. It was a Cycle shop with no clear indication that they were part of the UHaul business. The employee was polite and very knowledgeable though.

Since this location is also a motorcycle sales & repair shop, the main focus is motorcycle clients. There was initially no check-in procedure and "you can drop the trailer over there". Kind of a do-it-yourself operation. Friendly enough, just not much help.
Regarding company policy, there needs to be another option for uploading one's driver's license; with all the data breaches of company data, this is something that made me steam. Other than that, awesome.

Unit was very clean, and ready to go as scheduled/promised. Counter person and hitch-up very helpful and understanding of this limited, 78-year old Vietnam vet all the way from Texas. Everything I could have asked for. Congrats to U-Haul, you have a winning team here in Quincy, CA!

Even though it is a small town, if you could... Expand your services and vehicle stock, so we don't have to go to other horribly run locations - that pervade Uhaul locations nationwide. You are the best there is.
No improvements needed at this location. This was the best overall experience I have ever had with U-Haul.
FYI......I was told by a UHaul by phone that I could drop off the truck after hours. That was really convenient and a big plus in my rating of uHaul. However the drop off location in Quincy did not have any street address displayed on the building exterior or any signage that it represented uHaul. The only clue was a uHaul truck parked in front of the Cycle business and the neighbors addresses indicating I was close to the address provided by uHaul. Also no drop off box, only a mail slot in a front door... again with no signage indicating this to be a uHaul location. A phone call to a uHaul rep did ultimately confirm I was at the right location, but only after much head scratching and wasted time.
Train your personnel before changing your computer system
My spouse went in to the facility to reserve a U-Haul for us last Saturday. When we arrived the morning of the U-Haul was not available. I rebooked for Thursday and used the app to pick up the truck. The app worked great. Unfortunately when we picked our U-Haul up the dolly we reserved was not in the truck. They were closed because it was the 4th of July, so we had to move without the dolly. It made for a more difficult moving experience.
Location and service of this location was amazing, it's UHaul's customer service that was absolutely terrible. I had originally reserved to pick up in Chico, which is where we were moving from. UHaul called me the day before I was to pick up in Chico to tell me they had overbooked and I was rerouted to pick up at a location almost 1.5 hours in the wrong direction. I called them back and asked to pick it up in Quincy, which worked well, but they charged me for the down and back trip to Chico back to Quincy. I should have been charged for a one-way trip, not a two-way. It was UHaul's mistake for allowing me to reserve online and then to cancel on me. Terrible bait and switch. And to change me for their mistake is horrible customer service.
