Got there at 9am to pick up a trailer. Was told they didn't have due to someone not dropping it off. Was sent to federal way location to grab another. When I got there the trailer was in for repair! Then they sent me all the way out to Tacoma. Never offered money off for this huge inconvenience that made us late for our vacation. Very disappointed. Wont use Uhaul again

I ordered my 6 x 12 â€˜ trailer direct from Spanaway location. When I arrived, I was told not only did I not have a trailer there but it moved to Puyallup location But also I was getting a 5x 8.. I had to leave a good portion of my stuff because it would not fit. Not only that. I was quoted $60. During payment $15 was added for cleaning. What cleaning? I have used uhaul for many many years. Probably will not again. This is not in any way the fault of the Puyallup uhaul. They were very apologetic but could not correct these issues. Pretty disgusted with this rental. All previous rentals were great.
There was some dog hair in the cab, but i have dogs so it didn't bother me. It may bother someone without animals.

We had reserved a truck and car transport.. The U-haul dealer there agreed we could take the truck and they would hold and not rent out the transport out as we are paying for it and would pick it up when we had packed up.. We came to pick up the transport and it was rented out and had to wait!!! When it did come back there was no one there to show us how to load and secure it. The young lady there was very courteous and helpful but was not qualified/trained on transport. We ended up not renting transport totally changing our plans. We were charged for the transport and are stilling waiting for the credit. Trying to see the charges and make sense of your system is very difficult and convoluting. I have rented from your company numerous times but this has been my worst experience!!! I will definitely look other places next time and share this experience with others. Sincerely, Jim Paggi
My rental agent was very professional and helpful
My reservation was for a 26 foot truck, I ended up with a 15 foot truck. I paid $500 for moving help that I couldn't fully use because the truck was too small. I had to pay the movers for unused time because there was not enough room in my truck, and not enough time to make another trip using their services. The person at the pickup location was unhelpful, did nothing to help resolve the problem of not having the right sized truck. Other staff member was speaking so loudly on the phone that I could't hear anything when asking questions about my reservation/contract/options.
Personnel were friendly and professional. Pickup Truck was all ready when I arrived. Ease of rental transaction was perfect. Will always use U-Haul in the future..
Front parking is difficult. Also it took us quite a bit of time to find the drop off box for the key. Perhaps tell clients where it is when you get the keys. Very friendly staff
No one was there. I first went to wrong place, was sent to another, and ended up losing an hour or my time when I had other appointments.
When I arrived at the location, which i had been calling for almost an hour to see if I could push my reservation out by about an hour with no answer, there appeared to be 4 -5 employees on shift. However, only 1 employee was actually working. The rest were chatting and standing around. The gentleman who was actually working, was doing everything. He was answering the phone, helping a customer get what they needed, and making small talk with the other customer in the location. He kept apologizing for the wait as he scurried around as fast as he could. When he got to me, it was 45 minutes after my reservation time. He got me set up with my truck. Even though there was another customer waiting gin the lobby, not one of the other employees asked him even once if he had it handled or if he needed help. So the next customer spent a good 10 minutes or so waiting so the gentleman could go pull my truck up and take the pictures and upload them. This used to be a really good location. My former workplace used them regularly and never had an issue one and i'm sure still does. They also have a storage unit there. That is why I had chosen to use this location. After I was finished with the truck, at 9:45 pm, I returned it to the location and followed the directions for returning after hours that were sent to me via text. After completing my payment, a box pops up that I still owe more money and asking how I want to pay. NO amount, nothing. Just how do you wish to pay. Beings that I had already paid the amount the bill said, I hit OTHER. I assumed that an agent would pop on and ask me some questions, try to get payment info, etc. Nope. Just a box that says someone will be in touch with in 24 hours? 48 hours? I can't exactly remember the the time frame, but I am sure it was 3 days or under. After completing that, I received an email with 3 attachments: * my original contract * 2 attachments that appear to be the coding for Uhaul bill. So, Uhaul would like me to pay for something, but they aren't willing to tell me what it is for or how much it is. And I can't get reimbursed by my company because I don't have a final bill showing what it actually cost. I know that no damage occurred to the truck while in my possession, so I can't imagine why they are charging me more money. At this point, I will not be using Uhauls services again. And we very frequently need rental vans as I manage an apartment complex and am a case manager who assists homeless families with ending their bought of homelessness. So on average, I rent 3-5 moving trucks a week.
Fast and courteous I forgot my mask and I ask for one wich was provided immediately with a smile.
Awesome customer service; helpful and knowledgeable! Even with all the social distancing, etc., going on right now, it was a great experience. Kudos to your Puyallup staff!
Checking truck in after hours Is difficult on line for myself trying not realizing I had to be at drop off location after a move people don't have the energy until they arrive back home Thank you for all your staffs kindness regarding my rental
No improvements necessary. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant, my pick up was easy-peasy and my drop off was equally as simplistic. This is the second time I have rented from this facility and it surely won't be my last. Thank you!!!
Car smelled like cigarette smoke. The self check out takes 30 minutes to complete. 30 minutes on a 4 hour rental is a rip off. The time should start after you get the keys.
We were very frustrated with our experience and will probably go with Penske as we've never had issues with them and they give military and student discounts. We were told when we returned our truck that we selected a drop off location hundreds of miles away. They couldn't do anything in the store. We called U-Haul and they couldn't do anything either. Finally, had to call to original pick up location to get it corrected. All this hassle and a higher price than the competition. And they still refused a discount. We were actually told we would be charged MORE if we couldn't get someone on the phone to fix it. I will be recommending people in a different direction.
Charged $20 after hours fee as I tried to return at 7:45a.m. and again at 8:15a.m. App did not allow me to return online as it could not detect my location. When I called to discuss charge, Joshua could not tell me where there hours are published. The hours are not on contract or their storefront. Joshua told me if I had a problem call 800 number. When I called uhaul, they told me to contact the local office as they are the ones who made the charge. After explaining I had just talked them, I was forwarded to another rep to discuss the issue. I was told someone should contact me in 72 hours. This was my second time using this location. There won't be a third time.
The lady at the counter was very sweet as she lied to me friend and I regarding prices of the Uhaul. I got the Uhaul in May 8TH!!!!! MY ACCOUNT WAS CHARGED TWICE. IT IS JUNE FIRST WHY AM I BEING CHARGED AGAIN!
Have a representative at the building and if you have changed their pick up time and location notify them ahead of time so that we don't stand out there in the hot sun for a half a freaking hour waiting for a truck that we weren't going to get
Set reservation for 6am because there was a plan in place. Reservation was changed to 11am without confirmation.
Easy drop off
Make it clear if the customer still needs to go inside to pick up a truck. It made it seem like we could check in online & not have to go inside (â€œcontactless â€œ).
