I was not told to turn headlights on at night so the tail lights will come on, thank God someone was behind me I knew so he protected me from being rearened. They showed me nothing on how to operate the u-HAUL. That's my only major complant.

My review does not reflect on the final pick up or drop off locations, (the final pickup and drop offs were fine) but towards UHaul's corporate customer service. I reserved our truck almost 2 weeks ahead of time for a business move. (Experienced incompetance with one of the Angels Camp location's getting dates correct) our pickup location change the day prior to a location 3 miles further down the road, not a big deal. The woman from that location called us 24 hours prior to CONFIRM our truck was there and ready. I had a crew showing up the morning of our move, a few of my employees, $20+ dollars an hour. We received a call 20 minutes prior to pickup to state she didn't have the truck now and told me I could call around to find another. I informed her she needed to call and fix it since she confirmed it. She called back stating that there was a truck in Pine Grove, 50 minutes and 38 miles from me and the confirmed pickup location. This set our move back 2+ hours, cost me well over a $200 dollars in labor sitting around unable to work and when I spoke with a UHaul corporate rep, he informed me he would comp 42 miles but couldn't do anything else. Forget about the extra gas in this large truck I would burn, the labor sitting around and now the overtime I am having to pay them to either work late or come in on Saturday. When I told him after his complete lack of good business that "I guess I will just deal with someone from corporate" he informed me "this is corporate." The money is an issue, however what sets me way back as a succefull business owner myself is the principle of the situation and how UHaul handled it. If the gentleman on the phone made any attempt to right the situation other than drop 42 miles off the bill I would not be writing this. I understand someone didn't turn a truck in, but that should be UHauls business and financial problem, not the next customers. I am doubting UHaul will respond correctly to this situation, and under that unsumption, I will find another rental company for future business and personal moves. Furthermore, I am sure my substantial client base and friends/ family will hear of this situation. I do not believe the "customer is always right" rule that so many corporate company's hold their employees to, however, if the company does not right a bad situation they have caused for a customer, they should feel it.

I am tired of U-Haul switching things on me. If I give a credit card and reserve something, it should be there. I had to go all the way to Pine Grove because of U-Haul equipment not being available to me. This added an extra 15 miles on my round trip and I feel that U-Haul owes me this difference.

Truck which I reserved(a 20 footer) was not available . I suggested that he rent us the two 10 footers for the same price as a 20 footer the owner balked.as it was we had to make two runs .

They’re rude and said renting uhaul trucks is more trouble for them that it’s worth. They created problems when there were none. My recommendation is to send customers to a place that wants their business.

We have rented trucks and trailers numerous times from Belinda and Steve. Every time we have had a wonderful experience from their customer service to the quality of the vehicles they have provided. I was shocked to read a previous review stating the workers they recommended did not do a good job. The only experiences we have had with these same workers they went above and beyond in situations that many workers would have refused to do or left. To me, they seem like the type of workers that would go above and beyond in any situation unless the person they were working for was dishonest or inaccurate about the job they would be needing them for. I have appreciated not only the quality and integrity that Steve and Belinda but also the ability to recommend someone that is willing to help us when we need to move large amount of items in a short amount of time. We have never had an issue and have utilized these workers over 10 times in various moving experiences. I recognize that the workers that helped us move or not a part of Steve and Belinda's employment but it sure is nice when you need someone to help and the owners of the Uhaul business have someone that is recommended and does an exceptional job. We have appreciated all the professional interaction and will continue to utilize Steve and Belinda's services on a regular basis.
