I have no issues with drop off/pick up locations or staff, HOWEVER, there was an error on uhauls behalf where they double booked my rental and wanted me to return it 6 hours before the context stated it was due. I got an angry and rude call from uhaul staff about how they were going to charge me if I didn't return it ASAP, even though I was mid move and had the rental until later that day. They hung up on me when I protested. If uhaul charges me a late fee and breaks their own contract, I will sue. Improve your customer service.MARIEALICIA FRAN O.

I booked 10 feet vehicle and when i went to tom food uhaul pick up location they told me that they don't have that truck available. They have 15 feet truck available in truck but i need to pay extra. I said I didn't get any notifications about this from uhaul. And as per online booking i need the trucks. The person working there said you can call uhaul if you want we can't do anything about it. He was very rude and disrespectful. He wasted my half an hour of time. He should be calling uhaul nit a customer as they are the one running uhaul rental service not me. After i spoke with uhaul traffick controller he agreed to give it for the same price but no apologies and rude attitude. I will not recommend this service to anyone. I also work in customer service industry and i sure what it means to provide bad service. You need to take more control of these type of places. Worst ever experience never going back there again.Meet P.
The process to drop the truck off was cumbersome and inconvenient with threats of extra charges being presented on the website if I didn't mark the location of where the vehicle dropped off but then the website not allowing me to mark the location due to website error. Also need to make multiple trips into the drop off location because I wasn't aware I needed to provide photos of the odometer and fuel gauge. Last time I rented a U-Haul it was flawless and I just parked the truck and dropped the keys in a box. This time was a nightmare. I suggest you change back to the old process if you want to keep customers. I will look elsewhere when I need to rent a truck next time.Daniel B.

The gentleman at the counter was not well trained to do a uhaul pickup. First couldn't find my reservation, then kept stopping my service to take customers in between. And then when asking for my credit card again told me MasterCard is inapplicable and only major credit cards only visa, which makes no sense and he ended up using my MasterCard after telling him I don't have a visa and that MasterCard would work cause it's a major credit card and was the card for the reservation.Amanda W.

When I asked whether the truck had been sanitized before going out to inspect it, the clerk told me that no, that was my problem. I didn't understand that the truck also hadn't been cleaned. Ever, apparently. The truck I rented was filthy. Shockingly filthy, with passenger seat and floor covered in what appeared to be dog hair, encrusted cupholders, all storage areas, and floor just unbelievably caked with old food, and whatever else had been spilled and dropped there. The entire cab reeked of tobacco. A/C was unusable because the intensity of the tobacco smell blowing into our faces made us realize that whatever other droplets the last users had breathed out must ALSO be in the air return system. I've never seen anything like it. The back of the truck was extremely dirty as well -- with the same kind of loose dirt/gravel found in the cab crunching under our feet. When I went in to Tom's Food Store to complain, the clerk behaved as if he was shocked. "It's not our responsibility," he told me. "We don't check it. We just trust people." This seemed hard to understand, since the last thing I had been told when I signed the rental document (before seeing the truck) was that I had to clean it before returning it or I would be charged a cleaning fee. Does this mean that Tom's Food Store charges its UHaul customers cleaning fees fraudulently? Or just that they fraudulently claim that the vehicles they rent are maintained properly? Or both? Since our family was moving my daughter out of one house and into another that day -- like the only other unfortunate customers compelled to rent from UHaul, I assume -- we had no choice but to proceed. It was an appalling experience and we will never rent from UHaul again. We also intend to tell every person we know who is or is not considering a move about our experience and to discourage them from renting from your company. Really terrible.Natalie O.
I booked a moving van early afternoon and did my early online check in around 1p. When I arrived at 5:50p for my 6p pick-up date the vehicle I had confirmed was not visable. When I went inside I was casually told that my order was supposed to be cancelled and yet no one told me and even as I was in line I got another notification confirming the pick up of my van which was not even there. I ended up having to pay more for a vehicle that was twice the size I needed and the entire trip was doubled in price. I used the vehicle for the 1 hour I needed it for and returned it around 7:15p - at 9:00p you guys called me and said the vehicle was showing late and that I had not returned it. They charged my credit card, and wouldn't let me use my debit. I had to wait for several food store customers before and after the rental.The truck had no gas cap , and it was littered with garbage. This is my fourth rental in three weeks. The other 3 times I rented from the Ajax location by the 401 , and it was absolutely excellent service in every way.HAROLD L.

I very specifically asked for NO insurance, and yet I was STILL charged $15 insurance. Clerk did not know how to take it off my bill and juts told me to call customer service. Never did get resolved....perhaps you will credit me for next rental June 2Eleanor C.
