First, I wanted a 15' truck. After 6pm the day before they call me and tell me they want me to take a truck 2x that size. For what I have to move and where I need to park that will not work. So I end up getting a 10' and make that work. Then at the end of rental, after I got home at nearly midnight, I discovered that I left my cell phone in the truck. I called the number on the contract for the location but you're not "allowed" to call the location, you get a central call center. They said they would send a message to the location and I asked them to call the alternate phone number on the contract, if they had the phone. After receiving no calls the next morning, we drove over to the location and sure enough they had the phone. And, you know what, they were nice enough to try to call me twice....one the cell phone they had in their possesion!! Very disappointed in U-Haul service. I guess it's time to check out the competition.

The connector piece that connects the lights on trailer doesn't work. So a me hanic at the first uhaul I used in June gave me a wire to ground it so the lights worked. My blinkers, hazards, and tail lights have always worked. That mechanic told us he could fix it but it would take too long. So we opted to keep using the ground cord because we were in middle of moving. Okay Jo problems. Second uhaul we used on 90th and maple, told them about it no problem they used the grounding wire. I went to this uhaul the 84th and k st location. I tell the girl about it and she tells me she is only trained to put the trailer on and snap the cords. So a guy ce out and he made a remark to the effect of, that's so cheap I can fix it in like 3 minutes let me just fix it. So my dad being a father was like okay sure if it only takes 3 minutes, not knowing the mechanic said it would take a long time. The uhaul worker started unhooking things(that were hooked up a particular way to make sure everything worked blinkers and lights) well he couldn't get it after 10 minutes so he let us leave uhaul with NO tail lights on trailer because he wouldn't use ground cord. And as soon as we left my truck tail lights stopped working. I was short on time I had to be to work. So I had to return trailer next day, Sunday. No one was there to look at my taillights Sunday. I wasn't able to get in right away Monday I had a couple busy days. I came back explained to manager I'm assuming. He says they will hook it up for me I guess. Acting as though it wasn't his employees fault my tail lights were now not working. He even had the audacity to bring the wires I knew we're broken in to show me saying that is the reason they aren't. No they stopped working because your employee was too lazy to just hook up the ground cord started something he thought he was smart enough to fix and wasn't. He undid what a mechanic had done to keep it working until I could afford to get it completely fixed. I am a single mother. I don't have money to get things fixed like this. And now my hazard lights still don't work and my blinkers only work if my hazards are pushed "on". I am very upset. I have a 6 month old baby, I am an in home care giver so I have to drive all over the city and my stuff isn't working. I take care of elderly. What if one of my clients or my son needs rushed to er I won't have hazards. Something needs to be done please.

Rented a truck on 8/10/18. Lady with red hair tried to avoid serving fellow Mexicans or Asians. We stood there in line waiting and she doesn't even bother us waiting next in line. Two Americans walked in, she immediately greeted and helped them right away. I was pretty pissed, we were waiting in line! When she's finished, I walked towards her and she directed me to another lady with black hair saying she has to take a call. Lady with black hair was very friendly and helpful. For the next 10-15 minutes, the red haired lady didn't even had a call. I saw she was randomly scrolling on a webpage. Racist? You decide.

Van was dirty and had a foul odor in driver's compartment. Paperwork indicated there was 3/4 tank, but upon inspection it was 1/2. We had to argue with the uhaul staff about the fuel amount when we turned in the van in Lawrence, Kansas. Our past experience with uhaul has been much better than this one.

When I made the reservation online, I was to provide a credit card to hold the reservation. When I did that, there was a message stating the card wouldn't be charged, and didn't need to be my method of payment. This was good news for me, as I planned to pay in cash. There was no information on the site about what the process is to pay in cash. Apparently, you need a cash deposit up front, if you're going to pay cash. This would have been fine if I would have known that information up front. I assumed due to the information provided on the website, I could hold the reservation on the card, and pay cash when all was said and done. Was very frustrated on the day of my rental to find this out.

I reserved a 16 foot truck 3 weeks in advanced when i went to pick it up they did not have it. So I tried to get a 10 foot. The lady told me they were book. Ask to speak to manager. He did give me the 10 foot but also charged me for extra milage which dident think was fair since I had to make 3 trips instead of 1 with a smaller truck!!

The truck was clean and was great. The lady at the counter was good. But no one was really friendly or talked to me or greeted me. When i dropped off the truck the person receiving the truck wasnt very friendly or greet me or talk to me. The staff could really learn to treat customers more professionally.
