Overall experience was extremely poor. We thought everything went fine when we picked up the truck. Walked through the reservation with the manager. We chose the 30 mile service. We said it will be longer than 30 miles and he said that was no big deal and it would adjust. He reviewed the dolly and moving blankets with us. Signed and was on our way. When we returned, we were charged with over 100 miles, the dolly and blankets were not on our order request. We left and brought it back to the same store thinking that would be a better option. It would have been nice for the store representative to ask what we were doing with the truck and where it was going. We could have saved half the mileage had we known we should have just dropped it off at another location where we were moving to. I feel like a lot of this could have been avoided when we asked about driving further than the 30 miles had someone taken the time to help us.
Buy new equipment fire your employees and stop endangering your customers with equipment that is falling apart
They were very friendly and efficient. They made everything very easy.
It seemed really good in person. Dealing with the online experience was not a good thing. The fact that I can't call the office directly without going through the main call center is extremely annoying.

The guy who helped me pick the truck up was awesome, super nice and friendly. The guy who I dropped it off to, John S. was embarrassingly terrible. He argued with the guy in front of me, skipped me in line, took two phone calls while talking with customers. Both calls were somewhat personal, asking about someone's blood sugar and then the second one was talking about his dentist appointment that he scheduled for a month and a half. Zero percent chance I'll ever return to this location because of John.
There was only one employee at the time and they were helping another customer for an hour outside the store while I waited inside to pick up for my reservation. The back of the truck was dusty and has some thing old spilled on the wall that wasn't cleaned.
The person that helped me with my pickup attempted to charge me when I had already paid online. This was also not the location that I had originally chosen to pickup and no one bothered to tell me that the location had changed until I was trying to pick up my truck. Then they only had half my reservation and sent me to a third location that was across town which resulted in our move schedule being massively set back. This has been the worst Uhaul experience I have ever had.
I tried to use the mobile check in, however it would not recognize my location even though the location services were turned on on my device. Please fix that. Even if I did that the keys for the vehicle were still inside behind the counter, so I'm not sure what the mobile check in would actually do for me to speed things up. I'd still have to wait on the customer service folks to get the key.
I was charged $30 for a dolly I never received
They are always too busy to provide courteous service and the wait time to get your truck is extreme
Hire more staff. I scheduled what was advertised as a pick up without having to go inside. Well, I still had to go inside and i waited in line for an hour. My pick up was scheduled for 8:30 AM and i didn't leave until 9:45, losing over an hour of my morning
Busy store. Staff very nice. Understaffed. When I returned can I used the Uhaul app on my iPhone. Super process! Love it. Also love U-Haul business. What business that sells boxes would also let customers get free recycled ones?! Way to go U-Haul!!
Employee kind of tricked us into agreeing to the rental insurance. I specifically said no when I initially set up the rental. When we were picking up he said, "And you wanted the ___ insurance, right?" Before I could even think about it, he had the total pulled up and it was $40+ more than expected. We just went forward with it, but we're trying to save money right now...because, you know, there's a pandemic. *I understand this is how the company makes money, but the question should really be presented more straightforward. Especially right now.
Truck was not cleaned or disinfected. This is unacceptable during a pandemic.
easy fast pickup and return
I do not see much more that they could do. I was in and out and on my way very quickly. The young lady that worked with me was spot on getting me taken care of. I will go to that location in the future if I need this kind of service again as I have in the past
I think charging a full days rental and insurance a total of 78 dollars for two hours past the time you picked the truck up is a little excessive !
When I reserved the van it said on it that the cost was $19.95 per day. So I confirmed with the girl that for two days it would be $40 plus mileage, she said yes. So my bill/receipt shows $89 per day plus mileage. It made a big difference. That's why I stayed two days because it was only $20 a day. I wouldn't have stayed for $89. I'm 64, single female on a fixed income. I wish that girl told me right. But that's the only complaint.

When the young man was putting on my tow dolly I asked him how to cinch down clamps. He only was able to refer me to a u tube video.
