I had rented the truck from the Main street location and it was changed without letting me know. I had to pay extra for another cab to get to the other location. A certain person named Emily marked in my file that she had talked to someone else at my cell number and I am the only one that has access to my phone. They forgot to put the dolly in the truck. When I noticed later, it was to late to get one because the location was closed. It took us double time to do the move. Wasn't impress with the service this time.

I was not made aware that I could not rent a truck for the length of time I wanted when I made my reservation online. Instead I was only notified during the day of my move when it was already too late. I was charged a $50 fee for a late return but at least the person I returned the truck to gave me the option of being charged for two days instead of the flat $50.

Make sure that the equipment is in good working order and safe for the road. Cracked and Bubbled tires do not pass for NB safety for regular vehicles on the road, they should not be on uhaul trailers. Called in to uhaul roadside assistance (which I was informed to do if issues with trailer) they uhaul roadside assistance could not send a mechanic to come inspect trailer and at my destination there was no other trailers to swap out with. So uhaul directed me to which uhaul would allow me to drop the trailer off due to the trailer not being safe to be on the road due to shaking. Later was charged $456.00 for dropping off trailer at different location. Tried calling managers and supervisors with no call backs (Tracey Higgans) or un professional reply's (Gary Sparks). Left messages to multiple people from Nov. 23/19 with no reply till this day. (Dec.2/19)

Only complaint i have is the online verifying part ..i tried numerous times ,every time i got a verification code and i tried to enter it , it came up with an error code.

We chose the mobile option thinking it would be quick and the truck would be ready to go for our pick up time of 11am but that was not the case and it took over a half hour to get the truck and then it had no gas which cut into our moving time even more.

My downfall about the whole experience was that when I wanted to return the cargo trailer after hours I tried like 4 times to go and register on the website at 2 am and just couldn’t find where on the site to go to ,It would send you to one place after one place I was up till 3 am then had to go the next morning .I was very disappointed.

i expect and in this case enjoyed, good customer service. The guy who served us was very polite and displayed patience in explaining things out and just how things work. It takes valuable "time' to make this happen, but it is so important. A different guy, in a different location was also very good with the initial booking.

Made my reservation on line. I needed to push up my request date. I called the local number and the lady that answered (wish I could remember her name) helped get everything switched to the new date. The trailer we had did not have any wind up post on the front toung. This made it difficult almost impossible for one person to put on or take off the ball on the truck. Maneuvering in and around obstacles in small apartment parking lots. I will never rent one of these again for this reason and would not recommend anyone else to do so.

I stood in line for 20 minutes after already making my reservation online. Then it took another 10 minutes once I got to the counter. This redundant and time-consuming process happens every time I rent. Why can't uhaul store my contact info and my driver's license to speed up the check-in process? This is not a hard fix.

I rented a different truck on two consecutive days and found fuel gauge level to be lower than 1/4 full, contrary to what was indicated on contract. I indicated this to staff at start of day but system information was not updated with correct reading. This caused frustration when I returned trucks after hours using smart phone. On both occasions I added more fuel than necessary to bring fuel gauge back to start-up position (less than 1/4 full). Notwithstanding, the system wanted to overcharge me for having returned truck with less than1/4 tank. Not a pleasant experience after an exhausting day, checking out under the rain and having the system treat me as if I had been negligent (not so) and wanted to charge me extra for it... Your employees should have a user friendly interface to correct the 1/4 fuel tank at dispatch assumption when it demonstrated to be wrong. If your system can't be easily reset to the corrected fuel gauge level, then put gas pump stations on your lots so your employees can fill up all returned vehicles to 1/4 level as stated on contract. One of these two options would prevent your customer from systematically having to defend themselves with justification notes as if they had committed an offense. Very beautiful facility, courteous and helpful staff who deserve an excellent rating, were it not for this fixable data management / software interface. That portion of the experience deserved a below average rating.
