MARIA VThis was by far one of the strangest and most unprofessional rental experiences I’ve had. When we arrived, there was a woman there, so we asked if this was where we were supposed to pick up our U-Haul rental. We had to ask because the location looked like nothing more than a warehouse—no proper rental office, no clear indication that we were at a U-Haul facility, and no one wearing a uniform or anything identifying them as representing U-Haul. Instead of simply answering our question, the woman just stood there staring at us with an extremely unfriendly and intimidating look. I asked again, “Well, is it?” and she still refused to answer. My husband then asked her, and her only response was, “Wait.” Shortly after, a gentleman approached us from the parking lot while on his phone and barely communicated with us either. The entire situation felt sketchy, uncomfortable, and completely unprofessional. What concerns me most is that U-Haul allows a location like this to represent its name. Customers should not arrive to pick up a rental and be left wondering if they are even at a legitimate U-Haul location. There should be basic standards for signage, professionalism, customer service, and identifying who is actually handling U-Haul rentals. I will absolutely NEVER rent from this location again. This experience seriously makes me question U-Haul’s standards for who they allow to operate as an authorized rental facility. Apparently, just about anyone can represent the U-Haul name now, because nothing about this experience felt professional or reassuring.
