I had a blowout on one tire and the other tire went flat because the tread was tearing away from the tire. I should get a refund for my rental.

The facility was fine, but they were closed. I had self pickup and it was difficult to use. I had to call customer service 3 times and it took over 1 1/2 hours to get the truck. The self pickup was challenging. The rep had to change the pick up time because it wouldn't release the truck info.

This is not a comment about the location we picked up the truck from, it is about what happened before we picked up the truck when I called U-Haul. I called U-Haul to change the time of my pick up on the truck and was advised I would have to pick up the truck in Mandeville, Louisiana because none were available in Slidell, La at any of the locations. I told them that would add a lot of extra miles to my trip and I did not want to pay $1.09/mile for something that was out of my control. Also, by picking up the truck in Mandeville my trip became a one way trip instead of a round trip, which resulted in additional fees. I spoke with a lady named Sue at U-Haul corporate (the number listed on the U-Haul website) who told me they would charge me $75.00 for the rental and I would get unlimited miles for the trip as she understood the inconvenience. I did not want to pick up the truck until 4:00 pm, which would have been possible if I was able to pick up the truck in Slidell as planned, and I could have avoided paying for an additional day. I received a call from Wayne on Friday stating his store closed at 12:00 pm on Saturday and I would need to pick it up before then, which now put me past my 24 hour return time for Sunday as I could not get the truck back to U-Haul Slidell before 11:45 am on Sunday. When I arrived to pick up the truck on Saturday, Wayne at ABC Storage informed me that U-Haul never gives unlimited miles and he did not know who would have told me that. You can imagine my displeasure upon hearing this but given our moving plans, I had no choice but to go on with the rental. First, I had to drive to another location, outside of my city causing me to pay extra mileage and gas. Even though I had been told by someone at U-Haul corporate number I would not be charged mileage. Second, I had to pick up the truck before my planned time causing me to be charged for another day. Third, had I picked up the truck in Slidell and made my reservation online, I would have only been charge $39.99 for the rental, not $75.00 which I only agreed to under the guise of unlimited mileage. We did not go over the allowed mileage by very much, and paying for it isn’t the issue, the issue lies in the lack of communication. Fourth, I must commend both locations. Wayne was very nice and personable. I understand he is not at fault. He was thorough and I understood when he explained the policies and what was expected upon the return of the vehicle. The drop-off location in Slidell was, as always, very professional and helpful. We returned the truck during a busy time when they first opened and everyone was nice and professional. We could see they were very busy but were friendly and helped us in a timely manner. You see, the problem is not with your stores but rather with your inconsistent pricing and poor communication. I was appalled with the way our situation was handled and I expect more from a corporation such as U-Haul Unfortunately I will have

Office was closed when we arrived after being rerouted to Mandeville from your Eagle's Nest location in Covington. I called this location to make sure the 5 x 8 trailer was there and the rep told us it was. Had to wait for him to show up with it. Only good thing about this office was he was super nice.

I was given a trailer with bad tires (even had x's on them) and of course had a blow out on the side of the interstate. It took 3 hours to get some one out to change it. Yes, 3 hours sitting on the side of the interstate with no bathroom, no food and 90 plus degrees. Totally unacceptable. You first give a poorly maintained trailer and then took 3 hours to get me help. If someone would have told me Uhaul would have that type of service I would have never believed it. I have pictures of the bad tires if anyone cares enough to contact me.

Wayne Cotaya (ABC Mini Storage) was awesome! Although I had the inconvenience of having to pick up my 26-ft truck rental at ABC Mini Storage instead of my original contracted location in New Orleans (35 miles completely out of my moving route, because the truck I rented was returned damaged), I had to cross the "longest bridge over water" in the USA (Lake Pontchartrain, 24 miles plus) and return the rented truck there as well, but Wayne made it a pleasure because of his focus on excellent customer service (he thoroughly documented all that I was promised by U-Haul for my inconvenience to ensure my correct reimbursement and successfully juggled handling multiple "in a hurry" customers all at once, quickly and thoroughly all by himself that morning.) I highly recommend this location (ABC Mini Storage Inc) and their star employee, Wayne Cotaya. DR, Metairie-LA

Both the owner and personnel were extremely helpful and courteous. The owner helped me to connect the auto transporter under rain. Great people on this location. I moved from Louisiana to Texas. They gave me good tips about driving and what I may need and what to do while using auto -transporter. I highly recommend rental from this location. Everything was positive for my experience at this location. Highly recommended. Both Pam and Wayne were great and helpful people. They did everything to help me to get a truck 15 feet and auto-transporter.

I returned the truck 2 hours past cutoff, was charged for a full day. I said well I'll keep it for the remainder of the day, ohhh too bad we rented it out to someone else. I asked for a refund and was told to call uhaul because she wasn't handling this request.

Great service at the location but HORRIBLE service when I called U Haul with an issue. My pick up location & time got changed the day before my reserve date & when I called U Haul customer service to inquire the lady was very rude, unsympathetic & spoke to me as if I was garbage!! I asked to speak to a supervisor & she said there was no one for me to speak too. I asked if I could modify my reservation to better suit my needs & she said NO, that I was stuck with the changes they made. Next morning, I arrived at the "changed" location to find it closed during their "Open" hours. Mind you my reservation change set me back 2 hours. I started calling other U Haul dealers in my area & located a truck. I called U Haul customer service to explain the situation with the closed business & that I was pressed for time & stated I had found a truck at a different location, could I just use that location. The very nice lady told me I could most definitely change. I told her I'd call back to confirm. Then the same rude CSR from the day before called to tell me the business owner was going to be an hour late. I explained I had located a truck at another location that I was in the process of changing everything & she told me that I couldn't do that & that I was just going to have to sit there & wait. She was very sarcastic & disrespectful. I became very angry & told her she was being rude & she hung up on me. She has NO place being in a customer service position & is hurting business by treating people the way she does. I have never been treated or spoke too the way she did me!
