Based on previous experiences, I was hesitant to visit this location. Wow...has this location changed for the better. Curious, I asked a few employees what happened and they mentioned the new manager. After meeting Morgan Smith, the new manager, I understand why. Thoughtful, helpful and focused on the customer experience. He embodies an ownership mentality. He takes responsibility for the location like he owns it. Very impressive.

I have been trying to get a corporate account going since winter. The account manager does not return phone calls and usually is not available when I call. That it takes 4-5 months to get a corporate account is really interesting. An improvement to the UPS Corporate structure for providing corporate account advantages would possibly bring more business to UHaul. I would not recommend Uhaul to businesses.

I stopped in the day before rental of the trailer and said I needed to move an 8' sofa. They told me the type of open trailer and reserved one. I was going to be late, so I called and apparently spoke with a nationwide rep - she confirmed I reserved a motorcycle trailer - I asked what size it was and she said 7" long. It would not work. I told her I needed one for an 8' sofa. She changed the reservation and told me she reserved a trailer that would fit. When I got to the Uhaul to pick it up, I again asked about size. They told me I reserved an 8' trailer. Again, wrong size. They had a 9' and I rented it. I do want to give very high compliments to the reps at the pick up point. I was a bit past closing time when dropping it off - but one rep saw me doing so before he left after closing - he came over, greeted me nicely, asked about the trailer use, and checked me in electronically, disconnected the trailer. Very nice touch and dedication to great customer service!

I ordered my vehicle online because I wanted to pick it up earlier than my location was open. It ended up that I couldn't do that because the location doesn't have as many lockboxes as your website thinks it does. Fortunately for me (and for this rating) the manager was available by phone and was able to get me into the truck and on my way on time. Don't offer things you can't deliver!

1 Upon return, thank. com/ share could not recognize my location. 2. Even though I tried to refill the gas tank, it would not register as Full. That was frustrating.

I reserved a truck and when I went to pick it up I was told that U-Haul overbooked their trucks and none of the other customers returned their rented trucks. I had to change my reservation on the spot and rent a trailer instead. My original reservation had a return time of 3pm but I needed to return the trailer by 2pm. I ended up losing 1.5-2 hours of time because of U-Hauls mistake. I would not recommend to a friend. Corporate needs to get a better handle on their operations; especially reservations.

Hard survey. The only site specific for this location was that someone forgot to lock the drop box causing me a 1.5h headache after hours. Customer service was good. But overall, the general system didn’t go well at all. I signed up for a 17’ because that was all that was available, then as time got closer and knowing I needed a larger truck, I called to see if maybe a 26’ came available and got transferred to the call center who said there was a 26’ available at that location for the day with checkout at 9am (even asked twice-are you sure and verified time) since that is when all my moving help was coming. Then, feeling like I couldn’t trust the call center, dropped by the location and was told they didn’t know if there would be a truck or not but that I would get an email but a truck would be available if they said there was one. By Fri, I still had no email with an update, so I stopped by again, and was told a 26’ would be ready at 3pm! I had no notification of this prior and had I come at 9am Sat, there would have been no truck for my help that could only be there until around 3pm. It was a horrible move, the worst I have ever done. We had to rent a 17’ and a trailer, still had to make 2 trips, and it took us over 24 hr hours to load and unload the trucks twice. And then trying to return the truck after hours because I was working the next day, was a horrible experience, being on hold for 20 minutes to get help 3 times, no one available for assistance at location, seeing other people come who were upset and confused as well because there was no place to put keys. The good thing was that there was 1 main guy who knew what he was talking about and followed through with what he said he would do and I appreciated that a lot since much wasn’t going well at all. I think later, I realized he was the manager of the location and I thank him for rescuing part of my horrible experience.

The pick up was not satisfactory as the truck was not equipped as per requested. Blankets were not in the back of the truck. No solution was offered by U-haul other than going back to pick it up ourselves which was not a possibility. Poor customer service that made us loose more than two and a half hours in the morning. As a result some of our furniture was damaged during the moving process. Will not trust U-haul or U-haul moving help again.

I was performing the online check in with my phone and was about 10 minutes into the process and then was told that that truck had been rented out to another customer because they did not see me come in. I felt that this defeated the purpose of doing an online check in if that truck is not set aside specifically for my reservation. I felt that my time had been wasted. Fortunately, I was given another truck. In the future, I would ensure that a specific truck is set aside for a specific reservation to avoid customers being inconvenienced for no good reason.
