The contactless option was a nightmare. If you don't answer the phone the first time, the text representatives are useless. I was forced to go inside and wait in line and then had to deal with an incredibly rude gentleman at the counter. It was a haste and wasted an entire hour of my move time.

Person (Man) checking in was excellent-- he handled multiple customers at a time, and handled my dissatisfaction about having to give a phone so I can be verified by someone else. I was upset that there was no warning stipulating this anywhere in the contract. I was in a time crunch and having to do this (call my wife and explain that uhaul would be calling her, etc.) was a real inconvenience.. He handled my frustration very well.
Would have liked more assistance in dropping off the vehicle, was told to just go to u-haul and do it myself and it was a bit time consuming for the first time

Carlos was very nice and helpful, explained everything and helped get us through quick. He sanitized my license and the car keys before passing them to me with an extender and it made me feel like precautions were being taken to fight COVID. Thank you!

The Mobil app definitely adds confusion in the store. There were five us struggling with the app but the very helpful team member on site isn't able to do much for you. You just have to wait out the delays and hiccups of the app. Check in could have taken 5 mins instead because of the app element I was there 30+mins. Hopefully you guys can find the balance. The team members on site were great and kept everyone calm but they shouldn't have to be dealing with the added frustration
We were waiting in line for an hour, then when we were finally told to pick up our truck via mobile, nobody knew where they key was and we were waiting for another hour. The inside of the truck was dusty and dirty.

Every time I come to this location the staff are extremely helpful.
On top of receiving our truck 2 days late and our tow behind 5 days later than our scheduled pickups, our 26â€ truck was covered with oil and grease on the inside of the truck. We had to use cat liter on the floors to soak up the grease so we didn't fall when loading or damage our items. Before we left, we realized that the air conditioner blower wasn't working. We had someone from roadside assistance come out to fix it. He spent 5 minutes fiddling with it but it didn't stick. We traveled the first day through the high desert with temperatures of 110 inside the cab. Luckily our 2nd roadside assistance guy in AZ worked on it a little more but the coupler was burned out and needs to be replaced ASAP. On top of that, in TX, a sheriff pulled us over to let us know that the retread on one of the tires on the tow behind was close to blowing. It was a bad patch job and once again we needed roadside assistance to come take care of the problem. The gear was NOT cared for or maintained. Thank goodness Uhaul has a fantastic roadside assistance program with great technicians and customer service reps this terrible equipment.

It was really really difficult to do the phone pick up. The code kept not working and then it took a long while before anyone would even try to help us (they said we had to use our phones but we kept telling them it didn't work). Then once they did help they gave us the wrong keys to a different truck that we weren't supposed to get. Overall it was pretty unpleasant. I get that it's COVID time but they were really not helpful.
The "EQUIPMENT" was fine and performed to expectations. The staff was rude, behaved as if the customer was an inconvenience that had to be tolerated, and ARROGANT, etc.

Catrice at the Lincoln Avenue U-Haul outlet in Santa Monica was extremely helpful in getting me a truck for a one-way trip. She went above and beyond.

I would absolutely not recommend this location to anyone, EVER! The staff member who provided us with the UHaul truck the morning of 6/18/2020 was not helpful and very rude. We arrived to our appointment to pick up the UHaul 10 minutes earlier to ensure we could ask the appropriate questions for how to pick up and drive the UHaul since this was our first time driving one of the trucks. However, the staff member gave us short answers and was rudely hurrying us along to get us out the door. We ended up having to look everything up online to ensure we knew everything about the truck. The truck itself was fairly clean and driveable but the experience with the staff member at this UHaul location ruined our morning and added unnecessary stress to the start of our trip. I would highly recommend picking up or returning from a different UHaul location if you want to interact with kind and respectful people.
The manager is so rude. Poor customer service. He can't handle his duties properly. Does nit deserve even a single star.
