i went online and made my reservations and declined the $40 coverage because i have renters insurance for travel and rentals. Well the U-Haul Representative lied to me after i asked him to make sure you add insurance on my charges because i have the receipt from online without insurance like i wanted, and he said yes no problem it is not included on the charges i am ringing up now. Well i asked him again, and had the receipt and showed him and put on my phone recorded to record the conversations and he said very clearly i have not charged you for insurance and see you have declined it. picked up the trailer and took pictures since it had scraps and damaged and an older type of cargo tailer with cut straps. It was old and had damages. Then i took off and on the road traveling I got a notification from my bank about charges and then the receipt came through in my email and I was upset because the U-Haul Representative ILLEGALLY CHARGED ME INSURANCE WITHOUT MY CONSENT and the taxes are ridiculous! The website is misinformation on charges and does not ever add to the amount you really pay from these U-Haul Rep sites. I will make sure my company and people i know will not use U-Haul sites again since you'll illegally charged me insurance charges after i have completed my reservations clearly showing what i had store for a receipt. i wanted a refund but never got it. So we all will be using other rental companies that doesn't mislead, misinform you with false information on rentals charges. and doesn't take it on themselves to illegally charges you extra charges and excessive sales tax.
