Truck was dirty. Service was very slow, had to restart his computer and try different ways to get through the rental. Took over an hour to get my truck. Then was told my credit card wouldn’t enter in his computer properly. And changed me an extra $100 for paying in “cash” even though I paid him with my credit card... not a good experience!

There did not seem to be accurate info between the central booking/reservation and this location. I booked with Central for 2 nights and 2 days for a 15' with tiedowns, a furniture dolly, & blankets. She was friendly and quick. When I came to the location, they seemed unaware of the booking but found it. They only had a 20', no blankets and no tiedowns. I did get a dolly. Staff at the location were friendly and efficient but we were both left a little puzzled at what happened regarding the difference in booking and what was actually available. Painless return process. Thank you

We were required to drive 50 km out of our way to pick the truck up. This resulted in an additional mileage charge that we are not happy about, in addition to the inconvenience. There was an empty liquor bottle in the back of the truck, they only had 10/12 blankets that we ordered and there was mud on the floor of the driver's side.

I think it's crazy to be charged for a wheel dolly for 3 days when I only had it for 7 hours total. Almost 300 to travel 600km. Rented in the morning and returned that night

I drove an hour out of my way to pick it up the lights didn't work on the trailer the guy took a half hour to an hour to get me signed in because he was the only one at the store

Trailer was left hitch down in a puddle and then froze over with 3 inches of ice. Had to pick ice off with screw driver and hammer. It took 3 hours to sign paperwork and get truck and trailer setup and hit the highway to load up. To find out later the trailer didn’t work at all for lights for the entire trip. When I went to pay for my equipment they tried to charge me twice as much as the price I reserved for. Very disappointed in the service they provided.

We were given two drop off locations prior to this one. The first was 45 mins away and then second one did not exist. Quite frustrating and tiring after moving and travelling for a few days.

I was uncomfortable dropping off the trailer here as it was on open property and anyone could come along at night and hook up to the trailer and take it. The person behind the counter tried to comfort me by telling me that nothing has ever happened like that nor will happen either, yet when I asked multiple times for a paper confirming that I returned the trailer he would not give me one. He just kept telling me that it was entered into the system that I returned it. After we left I called u haul customer support and they said that nothing was showing that I returned it. The lady who I talked with said she entered it into the system that I returned it. I stopped by there a little later on my way back to Edmonton and took pictures on my phone just in case. The next morning I called customer service and they said the Legal location entered it into the system that the trailer was returned. Something is not quite right there. Anyways a big thank you to the people in customer support who helped me through this. I greatly appreciated it!

They spend half an hour trying to find it on the computer and did not speak English. I have rented with family and friends on many occasions and NEVER had a bad experience with UHAUL until this past weekend. Let me get back to the beginning of this bad customer experience. This rental was for my Son Allan Galbreath and were told on the phone that it was close to Spruce Grove, Alberta at the 218th street location about 15 minutes from my house and if it was not available there....we would get a call within an hour on Saturday evening. Made supper and no call and went to bed @ 11:00 thinking it was so done. Then Sunday morning I received a call @9:06 am to say that it was in Legal, Alberta.....where he had just driven through an hour before on his way to Spruce Grove. He drove 1 hour there to pick up the trailer and 1 hour back to load his stuff and then headed to Athabasca to unload what he had stored. Monday morning November 13th, he called the number on his receipt to return the trailer in Athabasca and was then told that he had to drive another hour to WESTOLCK Alberta as there was no dealer in Athabasca, Alberta any more and drive another back and he would have to miss a day of work for this error of UHAUL. This is such a bad experience and NOTHING can undo this 4 extra hours of driving for him and the loss of a whole days pay for him and also driving in fog and snow. What I would WISH for is for this WHOLE BAD experience to just GO AWAY and be reimbursed for this HORRIFIC and AWEFULLE weekend??
