The truck had jack Daniel bottle tops, motel key and used cigars in the glove box.. COVID 19 is spreading fast. The inside of the trucks need to be cleaned each time it's return. I do have pictures of the mess.
People at this location were excellent on the day of the rental. They helped as much as they could. The problem is not with them but with the UHaul system. Not all of the blankets we ordered were available. Moreover, we stopped in the day before to make sure everything was good to go, and we were assured everything was good. There has to be a better way to assure customers don't waste precious rental time trotting across town attempting to find items which were reserved for us. Although the truck we rented was in good mechanical order, the cab was dirty and had mud in it. With COVID, not sure if it was sanitized appropriately.
Fire the current staff
Very hard to call this location. Too many adds. Put in options to connect straight to location.

SHOULD HAVE CHECKED THE MILAGE BEFORE I LEFT GOT CHARGED FOR DRIVING 86 MILES WHEN I BARELY PUT 15MILES ON IT I'LL NEVER RENT FROM THERE AGAIN!!!!
Everything went smooth at this location.
I reserved a truck two weeks in advance for my move to Lafayette, an hour away. Five minutes before I arrived to get my truck, they said they didn't have my truck and that I had to drive an hour away to get one. I had to improvise and get a smaller stuff which I knew couldn't hold all my stuff. All this complication made my trip from 1 U-Haul load to two U-Haul load resulting in costing me more money due to spending more mileage. This cost me about 8 hours in total of lost time and made my move to my brand new house a terrible exhausting experience.
Fix the light on the trailer
The last 2 reservations I had at the HWY 14 location were unpleasant experiences. Both times I showed up, my reservation was canceled without my knowledge. The first excuse I was given was that the Reservations Department is overbooking the location on Sunday November 29th, and no truck actually existed. One of the gentleman at the front counter helped me and found a truck I could use. While still at the location on November 29th, I asked how to avoid this in the future. The employee at the front counter said to â€œPhysically come to our location and book to ensure you will have a truck.â€ I decided to book at that very moment for yesterday December 5th. I showed up on yesterday December 5th...and was told I had no truck! The excuse I was given again, was that the â€œYes. The guy at the front counter made the reservation, and told me I would have a truck when I showed up, but the Reservations Department hasn't ASSIGNED a truck.â€ I was really disappointed in the level of customer service and lack of responsibility on the part of the employees at that location. Again, that same young man from November 29th found me a truck. However, the confidence I have in U-Haul's ability to provide even the basic level of customer service has diminished. I am just one little customer that happens to rent U-Haul's several times a month. I'm sure you all loosing my business wouldn't care to anyone. It disappointing to know I have no choice but to find other means of hauling transportation going forward.
My last rental was OK. The hook up of the trailer was NOT done right. The trailer was unhitched on the highway and that PUT MY WIFE AND ME IN A LOT OF DANGER. Thankfully one of the safety chains held and I was able to get off the road safely after swerving across multiple lanes. I definitely will be checking the hook up personally from now on to make sure the trailer was hitched on right by U-Haul people. I've done a lot of business with U-Haul and this was definitely not a good experience. I still recommend U-Haul based on past experience.
Everything was great! The staff was very friendly.
Personnel werr not friendly and were short with words.
Personnel provided accurate information about location to get gas. Had everything ready when I returned to turn the truck in. Procedure took less than 5 min.
Loved being able to do everything online. It made the whole experience much easier than expected.
Repeated question on the Uhaul app about the conditions of my towing truck is annoying. I made 4 trailer rentals in a span of a few weeks. Can't it tell that my truck can tow things with ease?
