The drop off process (self drop off using phone) was great. Efficient and taking photos helped to reassure that I dropped off the vehicle properly, in good clean shape and a full tank and the mileage. But the problem was it was trying to charge me AGAIN. The idiot at pickup charged me at pick up which was wrong and the app tried to get me to pay again at drop up...but I must say, at least I had the option of disputing the charge and my card didn’t get charged and I was still able to complete the drop off process. I’m sure after reviewing my drop off, my dispute to pay again will be resolved and approved. So though there is a mistake in charges, the self drop off at this clean professional looking location was still simple and easy to complete.

I was never told to return the vehicle with the same amount of gas as when I rented it. I was not aware I would be gouged on the gas upon return, $42.50 for 10 gallons of gas is ridiculous. The customer service agent never told us to return it with the amount of gas we left with. It was not in anything that I read in the contract.

Apparently there was a small crack in the windshield (at the bottom on the driver's side) of the rental truck that was not spotted when my moving helper/driver checked over the outside of the truck before we drove it away. This crack was noticed by the manager at the U-Haul drop-off location. Nothing bad happened to the truck while we were driving it (no accidents,etc.) Fortunately, I had purchased the insurance from U-Haul. However, it would have been nice if the attendant at the pick-up location had advised me to examine all parts of the truck carefully, including the windshield, (and not just check the bumpers and side panels, etc.) before driving it off the lot. Other than that minor issue, everything went very well.

We had several issues with the self-rental service. I was told to arrive 10 mins before my 8am reservation to complete the process. We arrived at 7:45am yesterday morning and did not leave the location until 8:50am. TERRIBLE system to self-rent the trucks. Was not working at first, said I didn't have a reservation even though it was confirmed over the phone the day before, had issues with the pictures submitted, was told I needed another form of picture ID since my license was out of state even though I was NOT told that anywhere ahead of time even though I entered my license # on the website while reserving, the "chats" with employees while my pictures were being reviewed took extremely long and were very unhelpful, then I was told to call a customer service 800- number where I was placed on hold for 15 minutes and was never helped. Thankfully the employee who opened the Joppa store on Tuesday 10/31 arrived 15 mins early, was very helpful and knowledgeable and got us our truck in 5 mins. Five star rating for the employee but will never self-rent again.

The only issue I had is that we used this to move our stuff out of the storage (where we picked up the truck) and move it back into our house. We only used the truck 5 miles roundtrip. but we were charged for a full tank of gas and the gas meter showed we used WAY more than just the five miles, which wasn't the case. The truck needed service to correct the fuel issue. We notified the storage place, who put us in touch with the customer service department. They all agreed that the gas was off and that we shouldn't have been charged for only using the truck 5 miles - there was no way we used that much gas... we never left the truck running either. I filed a complaint and within 48 hours of filing that complaint, I was emailed by a manager who refunded the $32 fuel charge immediately. I will use uhaul in the future, great customer service. Thanks UHAUL!!

The truck I had rented had alot of body damage to it and the loading door was a little hard to open. I also think a Dolley and 6 furniture pads should be included with rental of a truck.

U-Haul Truck Share 24/7 was a nightmare. It did not work. Customer service agent was not helpful. Had to wait until store was open to get the keys to the truck that we had a confirmed reservation for two weeks in advance.
