I am extremely disappointed with my experience with U-Haul. I rented a vehicle expecting it to be safe, reliable, and in proper working condition. Unfortunately, the vehicle I received had no functioning air conditioning and was also experiencing transmission problems while driving. In Florida heat, renting out a vehicle without working A/C is unacceptable, but the transmission issue was even more concerning because it made me question whether the vehicle was safe to operate at all. Customers are paying for a properly maintained and dependable vehicle. A rental should be inspected before it is handed over to a customer, especially when mechanical problems could potentially affect their safety. This experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I expected much better maintenance, quality control, and customer service from U-Haul. I would strongly encourage management to inspect this vehicle immediately before allowing another customer to rent it.

Ignacio GTruck has engine problems. Mirrors are hard to move. Lock in the back was impossible to open and close. There was crumbs and small pieces of crackers on the floor by the console. The lady at the shop didn’t speak any English. The pricing on the truck says $19.95 and I was charged $29.99. Horrible experience I will never recommend this company and I know hundreds of people that agree that the trucks are in horrible shape. The gas gauge is not right either. I traveled maybe 19 miles and I was charged over $20 to refuel. That’s a flat out lie.
