Everything was OK overall until I was told that I have to return the truck to the same location I picked up at adding 23 more miles to pay for! Absolutely not satisfied.
I left my EZPASS IN the truck and I went to the facility to obtain I was told the truck was already rented and there is nothing they can do about my EZPASS Customer service is horrible in this facility

The miles mentioned in the contract was 9255m but when I entered the vehicle I could see 9256.1miles. It has to be accurate in the contract
the advertising online said $2468 and at the time of puck up my balance was $3160 I was never informed why price changed
The only problem I had was that three days prior to my move they called and said that didn't have a one way truck available. I had to drive an empty truck 60 miles back @$1.89 a mile. I ask if the manager could call me on Monday but I never received a call.
The pick up of the truck was excellent the return was a bit delayed and frustrating as i was told to go outside after going inside to return the vehicle during office hours. I also requested a hand truck that was not in the truck.

Started the process on the phone with a representative, an appointment was made, went physically to the location, was in and out of there, did my moving brought the truck back and it was done. The whole process was a great experience thanks
STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY
The people at Hempstead (particularly Diego) were great. But I only ended up at Hempstead because Reese at your Rockville Center location was the biggest asshole I've encountered in any customer service experience in my entire life. Here's what happened: I made a reservation for a 5x9 trailer online, to be picked up at your at your Rockville Center, NY location. I showed up at Rockville Center and watched Reece be rude to the customers in front of me. When it was almost my turn, she took a phone call from a customer on speakerphone, which I'm sure isn't allowed -- if the guy on the phone had given out personal information, I would have heard it. The guy on the phone said he wanted to rent a trailer hitch; Reece said they didn't do that at that location. The guy said "your dispatcher transferred me here...what do I do?" Reese said "I don't know." She made no attempt to help him at all. He hung up. Now it was my turn. Reese asked me for three phone numbers. Now: I rent stuff from U-Haul all the time. I'm a home renovator -- I'm always renting trailers and trucks. I've never given three phone numbers. At any rate, I said: "I only have one phone." She said "we need three." She didn't say "you can use a friend's phone" or anything like that. I said "I have one phone, I'm self-employed" -- she said "we need three." I said "Okay: 123-456..." I was making a joke. At that point Reese starting screaming at me. "NO! NO! YOU WILL NOT DISRESPECT ME LIKE THAT!" Absolutely fucking screaming. I said "do you want my wife's number?" She yelled "GET OUT! I DON'T HAVE TO SERVE YOU! GO!" And that's how it ended -- she kicked me out. She refused to serve me. Of course I was furious. That's why I'm writing this long review -- it was the most unbelievable customer service experience I've had in my life. Reese acted like a psychopath -- if one of my employees acted like that, I'd fire them on the spot. I'm in a business where time is money, and I spent that morning calling your dispatch center and eventually driving out to Hempstead to rent the trailer (where Diego and his crew were great). I'm very unhappy and even though I have to rent stuff all the time, I'm going to seek an alternative to UHaul. Reese's behavior was completely unacceptable. I'm sure there are people out there who could do that job well; I suggest you give her job to one of those people. Sincerely, Jeff Maurer
We had no issues with the Uhaul Hempstead location, however we had a lot of issues dealing with Uhaul in general. A month before we moved, we originally booked a 15ft truck to pick up at 11am in NYC. Two days before our moving date, I received an email that our reservation had been changed to picking up our truck at 4pm (5 hours after we had scheduled and well after we planned to be done moving). The customer service agent on the phone told me they never confirm pickup times til 24-48 hours ahead of the date but that was not noted on any of my original schedule confirmations. We asked if we could do an earlier pick up time from any other nearby locations but apparently there were no other 15ft trucks available before that one at 4pm. We eventually had to choose to downsize to a 10ft truck from Hempstead. This created a number of issues as it was not big enough to fit all out belongings so my fiance and I had to drive back and forth to nyc in our own car two more times after our big move with the uhaul. In the future I will not be using uhaul for my moving truck rentals.
I think everything is excellent. Good customer services. Rate is excellent. Nothing else to say.
