I called and had my pick-up location changed to a site closer to my home. I received an e-mail and phone message confirmation of the change. When I went to pick up the truck, I was informed it had been moved back to the State St. location which is about a 10 mile round trip increase. The agent handled this with a break in the mileage costs. I appreciated this.

Felt a bit rushed through the process but was happy there was actually a trailer waiting for me. They are a well oiled machine, but could be a bit more personable and ask customer if they had any questions, etc.

When I first called for a 17 foot U-Haul truck to rent for 10 days, Debbie told me that she did not rent 17 foot U-Haul's for 10 days because they were all reserved. She told me that she could rent me a 20 foot U-Haul for $45 a day. I told her no thanks and I would find somewhere else. She insisted that she was the best price in town, but I hung up. I then called corporate U-Haul and found that it was easy to book a 17 foot U-Haul at the U-Haul establishment that Debbie worked at. So I did and I waited for the day to pick it up. Upon arrival on pick up day, I told Debbie who I was and she said that she thought she told me over the phone that I could not rent a 17 foot U-Haul truck for 10 days, because she did not have one for that period of time. I told her that I was here to pick up my truck. She then said that she would have to give me a 20 foot truck for the same price which was 29.99 (but normally 39.99)I feel as though this U-Haul was trying to price gouge me initially and this was not a good experience for me.

Millage rate is outrages. it was $1.00 a mile. I wanted a pickup and they asked me if I wanted one with a ramp. I said yes as I was only moving a refrigerator. I got there and it was a huge truck; by then I could not back out.

The one way drop off point was more than 10 miles from my house wile entering town to get to my home i passed the place then ending of unload came back to return..was not allotted enough miles on the one way to compensate for residents .. And had to pay extra at the end .. Service was great other than the nickel and dimes at the end during a harsh financial times in moving .. This should be allotted for services for customers in secluded areas.. Thank u SGT PATTERSON..

Worse Uhaul and customer service experience EVER! Ordered a 26' truck, when the truck was given the tech told us to take it a gas station. Which was odd because I'm suppose to receive the truck at 1/4 tank, because that is what I am suppose to be returning it at. I asked why, he said "Oh don't worry we will reimburse you back" I just said ok, wasn't a big deal gas station was down the street and I have movers coming. So we drove 0.4 miles (literally two short blocks away) and the truck dies in the intersection on a two way street! We are now blocking traffic, so glad that I didn't get a ticket that day. Called the office they said that they will send someone over. 5 mins pass, no one came I got out went into AMPM bought a gas tank and 2 gallons of gas went back to the truck and still would not start. Went back to get to more gas and then the truck finally started. This whole process was about 30 mins of frustration, which then was when their tech showed up. Pulled into the gas station to fill it 1/4 way. It took nearly $50 to get it there plus I just spent over $20 on a gas tank and some gas prior. Now I have gas, late with my movers so that got cancelled and too late to schedule another company. Now the ease of this anticipated move just went into having to load and unload with my family. When we were done later on that day I came back into the store to talk to the manager and she was already gone for the day will not return until Monday (today is Saturday) The tech person I spoke with was really rude. I shared with him my concern and all he could say was "Sorry, we have some hoodlums that siphon our gas last night and usually when this happens the customers are able to make it the gas station." I asked for compensation for the broken down truck and he told me that we do not just throw money around, it was too bad that that happened and if you are not happy call the manager on Monday. I spoke with the manager and she said all she can do is reimburse me back the $75.00 I spent on gas, which took a week to get back. UHAUL have always promoted themselves as moving is easy, this is the help that we need to make a move easy. But this was the worse move experience ever. What if I didn't have the extra money to pay for gas, what then? I already paid a grip for a truck that is supposed to "be ready to go" and then I lost the movers because of messing around with the broken down truck. The employee there mentioned that having their gas siphon was a frequent thing, they should have taken precaution for it. Not saying build a bigger fence, but the customer should not be the one having to put out money to refill their tank back up. They should have gas tanks on the side or make sure there is gas and go fill up the trucks themselves instead of having the customer do it themselves. I do not recommend using this location.

Equipment malfunction, trailer gate, although open when we first took it, it malfunctioned and would not close after loading it at a U Haul facility. GM at the Arizona location was very helpful but could not make it close. After calling the Hemet facility where it was rented from, the person stated that I should have called the 24 hr road assistance. If I am at a major U Haul store where this occurred, why would I call another U Haul person and wait hours and then try to unload the trailer again after spending hours loading it, by myself.
