The tuck wasn't ready when I picked it up. It still had the trailer on the back of it and there was dirt on the passenger side floor. I also couldn't get into the area to pick it up unless I had a code to get into the gate. I was not given a code to get in. After sitting at the gate, luckily another person drove in and opened the gate for me. Additionally, I was supposed to do a self pick up using the app. After walking around the property looking into all of the trucks for keys a person finally came out and told me that I couldn't do a self check out. If this is the case then why is the option offered.
I understand this location is a rental storage unit. Rental trucks seem to be a side business, that's cool. It appears the storage customers take priority--one was helped in front of me, though I was there first. I am cool with this, but there should be a sign up telling us this, or just verbally saying,,,listen, we need to service these quick hitters first.... Rather than me having to figure it out. Just more communication.
Nice and clean
The facility was closed. The gate was locked with no staff present. My husband had to call to ask what to do seeing as how the dropbox was inside the locked fence that was topped with barbed wire.

We left our EZpass in the truck. Called the next day and they are holding it for us, until we return to the area in two weeks.
Check-in was quick and easy. Frustrating on-line experience though - reserved a truck for the given dates and was immediately called and told there were no trucks available at that location and that I would have to rent at a facility 20 miles way (at $.99/mile!) However, I went directly to the place several days later, I found there were trucks available.
I had to drive 24 miles each way to find a 6x12 trailer. I guess that 6x12's are hard to find, or you need more of them.
The Lady at the desk was nice but had no idea what was going on. I had to disconnect the trailer myself and put it where she wanted. Was not sure if I owed them money or if I was to get a refund. God help me if I was going there to rent the trailer.
Everything went very well. No issues or concerns.
My issue isn't with this location but with the location in Queensbury,NY. That was where we originally reserved a trailer. We received confirmation for our reservation for 8/24 but when we arrived our trailer had been rented out. As we were bringing our son to college in the morning it was extremely inconvenient. The employee was very sorry and apologetic. We were compensated and he did go out of his way to locate another trailer for us. However,The location was 30 minutes from our house and didn't open until 9 the following morning. Again- the people at the Hadley location were helpful but overall the entire experience was extremely frustrating as it delayed our start by 2 hours. My advice is to not rely on confirmation email. Call the day before scheduled pick up to confirm.
Letting the customer know that you cannot guarantee the pickup location you request and finding out 2 days before you move it's a remote location (with no cel service) that took me one hour to locate and get to and a half hour to get to the location that l had the workers waiting for me to load the truck A very frustrating day ! ! !
The queensbury location was awesome, the drop off location in Corinth openly admitted to me they falsified business documents in over billing me for an additional day. I would like to press charges. Please contact me ASAP.
No clear signs that it is a UHAUL location. Requested trailer is dilapidated but usable. Input from store receptionist was that the trailer was inspected/stickered by UHAUL for the known defects.
No improvements. I have to say the pick up location team went above and beyond to make sure I had the equipment wen needed. Making my move much easier. Thank you!!!!
Truck had not been swept out. Needed oil change and facility was unaware. Staff very nice and easy to work with.
definitely customer service needs attention. Certain areas need help with customer service.
The woman who helped me was very nice and did a great job getting me checked out, but was not trained in how to install the trailer on the vehicle. My wife and I had to figure it out ourselves from the instruction manual. The location was very remote, and far from the requested pickup location, requiring a 12+ mile drive through a winding, steep grade mountain road in winter weather conditions. It was far from ideal, and when we drove by the desired pickup location in Queensbury, NY (which was approx 2 miles from our destination), they had multiple trailers of the same type out front.

This U-Haul experience in all the years I have used this service was the worst ever.What is even more amazing is that this is known all over with what I always believed was a good reputation.Will not be my choice in the future. Whoever heard of having a reservation made and confirmed and then have every single thing changed? Right from the time and location to pick up and return. I had to take off time from my work to do this move because they changed everything. Then to beat the band I am the one who had to trapse around for a dolly.Whoever heard of going into a business well known and have to wait 45 min for the computer screen to warm up before you could do the paper work? Not acceptable to me sorry.
I only came to this location because my original reservation fell through due to a lack of professionalism. I was going to the location on 1320 Saratoga Rd, Gansevoort NY. I made a reservation with them for 8:00 AM 03May2014 and they didn't even show up!
