Where to start? First, I went to my local dealer to rent a truck. I was warned that the pickup location might be changed; a couple days before the big move, I was notified that indeed my pick up was at a different place, and they would be closed, but I was assured I could still access the truck using the mobile app. I asked that the truck be moved to my original dealer but was told that was not possible. Okay, so I drive another 10 minutes, no big deal. I had to check in with the app, which was a nightmare. The truck was new (1500 miles) and clean except for something spilled in the back. I had asked for and paid for 36 moving pads; none were inside. I had to go to my original location for those! But the real issue was with Uhaul's app. It was impossible to use without telephone support on both ends. It took me an additional 30 minutes to get the key and check out the truck. So I had to drive farther to a location that was not open, and deal with the app, and phone support, then pick up pads at original location, which all caused me to be late getting home, where I had hired movers sitting around for 30 minutes unable to start loading the truck. Because of this I was out $$ AND did not get all the items into the truck, so I have to go back at my additional expense and time. None of this is the fault of the dealers. It's Uhaul's mobile app that is almost impossible to use without phone support. I was never able to use it without help, and mostly it threw error messages. My son had the same issues. So did both dealer locations. Drop off location: Again, It was the app. I would rate it zero stars. I attempted to set up as much as I could ahead of moving day. I still could not access or return the truck without calling Uhaul. The drop off location was changed FOUR TIMES, lastly on the (early) drop off day. I missed the turn and had to go around about a mile, and the app tried to charge me for that mile. The drop off location was also unable to use the app and had to call. The woman on the phone that day was incredibly rude and condescending. Moving is stressful. The worse part of my move was dealing with the Uhaul app. Both locations told me they are discontinuing their Uhaul association due to poor service and support, mostly relating to the app. You need to do better, Uhaul. I'll never use Uhaul again, nor will I recommend them. Save yourself a huge headache... Enterprise just got a new customer.

There were problems checking me into my original reservation. So he had to open a new one reservation (this one), which resulted in the loss of 10 free miles since UHAUL changed my location from Banks to Gaston. This cost me a total $20 more than what I was originally quoted. Neither location seems to have the power or authority to help the customer. So I must call corporate, wasting my time to fix what I feel is Uhauls mistake.
Kaitlyn IMore clear area to park for U-Haul trucks. Other than that, great experience!
