See complaint No. 1555001. Long story short, we had delays undloadibg the truck and communicated that to DuFrane. Extended the contract. Wednesday we discovered we lost the key, called them and let them know and to see if we could pick up a spare to return the truck. They said they didn't have one and that we would have to call a locksmith. They would look for the key code and give that to us. They did not provide a code until after 4 pm on Friday. The two locksmiths we called said that the code was useless. When we told DuFrane that, we were told that we should have called Roadside assistance and that we just bought a truck. We called the Oshkosh location and they said they didn't have a key and that roadside assitance would have only told us to call a locksmith anyway. Saturday we called DuFrane again and told them the soonest a locksmith would be able to make a key would be wednesday. DuFrane claimed it would take two weeks to have a new key made from GM. We made arrangements to have the truck towed to DuFrane. At 5:30 Saturday while we were waiting for the tow company, two Uhaul employees zip up and told us to get everything off and they were taking the truck in 30 secs. We asked why no one came sooner when we called. He said we should have called Roadside Assistance. The second employee got in the truck and started it. Where was this key when we called THREE DAYS AGO? We called and asked for help, received none and tried to return the truck but no one from UHaul provided any help to us.

Nice touch having a soda machine outside in front for convenience. As well an excellent Mexican restaurant right across the street! We dropped off the trailer after hours so didn't have any interaction. No complaints.

Nothing bad about either of these locations, however nothing but bad about the preferred pickup. I called Portage Blystone the day I reserved my truck. They were busy and asked if they could call back. They never did. When I called back they were very dismissive and said that they do not get the orders until a few days before the actual move. They gave me the number to uhaul which I already had a reaervation. I called back a few days before and was told they do not have my truck and to call uhaul. Uhaul say they would probably have it, but would call back. They called back and didn't have it. I had to drive over 50 miles out of my way. They said they would give me $30 and 30 extra miles. I said that will pay for my gas and the CS guy said ma'm that will more than pay for your gas. Giving me attitude! I SAID NOTHING. Then they charged me for extra miles. I called the Fond Du Lac store who was very nice and took care of it. What if I had never called to see if Portage had it. Would they have called me? No, they would have let me scramble at the last minute!

Seemed very unorganized. The lady at the desk was nice, however, she seemed to be having a tough time getting things in order. I had a reserved pickup time of 830 am which is the time they open. I figured they would've looked ahead the day before to see if there were pickups at that time and when there were, I would expect they would be to work earlier to be prepared. It is stressful enough moving, and would like it to be as quick as possible to get the truck and get going. I also work in customer service so I understand the busy times, just felt if it was already chaotic at 835 am, it was going to be a long day.
