Only recommend because it's the only location that actually seems to have any vehicles. Place was kinda dirty, truck was gross with fried chicken grease and crumbs, to the point I slipped and almost fell just getting in because the floor was slick. Service was slow and sort-of condescending (except the lady at the front desk, who was a breeze to work with). All in all, on-par with most places around Fayetteville.ASA B.

I have lived in Fayetteville, North Carolina for 14 years, and through the years I have used the big location on Bragg BLVD. Today, we rented a truck for a few hours to get a couch from a friend. The lady at U-Haul was very nice and professional and told us our truck would be out front with the keys in it. The only truck out front was running and cold which was nice, but when I compared the numbers it was the wrong truck. I checked the cab to be sure my girlfriend hadn't left anything in there, I saw a book bag which was not familiar, but my girlfriend is moving here from Kentucky, and I am not familiar with all of her worldly possessions. When I looked in the bag I saw a gun and a laptop. I knew right away that this did not belong to her. When she came outside from asking about the correct truck I walked with her to the next lot to find the truck we were supposed to have, in the north Carolina heat and humidityâ€¦. We found the truck, but no keysâ€¦.my girlfriend is disabled and can not walk far so I left her in the truck to run and get the keys. The lady met me outside with the keys so I ran back to start the truck. I pulled the truck around to the exit and got out to tell the lady that our air wasn't working in the truck and to tell her about the bag that had been left in the other truck - specifically mentioning the smell of weed and the gun inside the bag. She said she would tell her manager right away, and I saw another woman get the bag out of the truck as we were driving away. When we returned the truck, I inquired about the bag and asked if they had found the owner. The valet guy with dread locks chastised ME for opening the bag. Asking me several times for clarification of the situation, and told me that I should not have opened â€œpersonal property of another customerâ€. I said â€œreally? That's how you want to handle this situation?â€ He said â€œYes ma'am, you should not have opened someone else's bag.â€ I would like to know exactly how I should have handled this situation according to U-Haul company policies? This took place at the location on 5400 Bragg Blvd, Fayetteville, NC 28303, at almost 5pm. My Girlfriends name that was on the truck is Cynthia Smith. I am just wondering should I have stayed with the package and called the cops instead of alerting the staff? Honestly, it felt to me like the valet in dreads was mad because I thwarted his side hustle. He was very rude to me, and when my girlfriend confronted him for speaking to me that way, he yelled at her to â€œhave a nice day!â€ he was angry and yelling. I am very disappointed in this location and I have a lot of business coming up with them as I am opening my own business in the area. I always used this location, Bragg Boulevard. All the sales associate have been wonderful. But unfortunately today, this evening, when I brought the u-haul back the associate who waited on me was not that pleasant. This was a bald head Caucasian guy. I have felt welcomed the past 3 years at this site, 5400 Bragg Boulevard. But this evening my encounter with this individual was not welcoming from him. I am so sorry I have to report this, but this individual could have been more inviting. I hope that I can still feel good in the future about coming back to this location. Representative at this location had a bad attitude. Customer service unprofessional, and her attitude was unacceptable. I understand if you're about to close then there should be a sign on the door that says we close 15 to 30 minutes prior actual closing time and last customer will be seen at specified time. That wasn't the case and the slamming of ID card down hurrying and puffing made me upset and unacceptable.Roger P.

The U-Haul rep, Kimberly, was VERY rude! She said there were no trucks available without a reservation and that I could only rent a trailer but it was the way she said it that was completely uncalled for! Extremely unprofessional! When I went back an hour later, a different associate assisted me and was very professional and curtious. Although the truck I wanted wasn't available, he made sure I was able to rent a similar truck which allowed me to complete an extremely important task. I originally had my reservation at Regency Furniture At Bargain Depot. I arrived and they didn't have a trailer for me and advised I can U-haul. I couldn't get anyone on the phone, suck on hold. I looked up the closest U-haul location and checked if they had a trailer available. They transferred my reservation and connected the trailer.Seth B.

My Uhaul I rented was a size 26 and it ended up breaking down in the middle of traffic on Bragg blvd. Then I came to exchange it for another truck and I had to downsize but it was the same price. Once I brought the truck back the gas was literally off by a centimeter and they charged me $30 extra. They did not provide me the paperwork for the second Uhaul I got so I couldn't put the contract number in online when I was returning the Uhaul. Worst Uhaul place I ever been to. Should've expected it because it's on Bragg blvd but they were the only ones convenient at the time. People listen to me when I tell you don't go there!!! You'll thank me later.ISAAC L.

Location called the day before we were supposed to turn the rental van in to request that we turn it in on time because they had other people lined up to rent it. We went ahead and turned it in a day early, and was told that we owed an additional $7 because we went over on mileage. The only reason we went over on mileage was because U-Haul changed the drop off location to this store that is across town from the original drop off location. So much for doing them a favor and dropping it off early.THOMAS W.
