I had a very good experience. Of all the U-haul rentals I've done, this has been the most straight-forward and hassle-free. At this location you won't find the array of equipment that you'll find at bigger locations, but you will find the nicest people to deal with.

The customer service at Hardy's was phenomenal, despite it being an unkempt and overgrown building. The biggest issue was that I had to drive approx. 1:30 min from Columbus MS to Eutaw AL in order to pick up the trailer. I received the phone call telling me that my requested location was unavailable at 9am on Saturday morning, the date of my pick-up, and when I informed customer service that it would be over an hour drive both ways, the representative very disrespectfully told me "there's no way it will take that long". I understand that the location is not guaranteed, and I did receive the fifty dollar compensation, but 70 miles out of the way is excessive and unacceptable, and the attitude of the representative who called me and her lack of an apology for the inconvenience was appalling. I was lucky that my situation allowed me to take 3+ hrs out of my day to make the pick up, but it was unwarranted stress. To make matters worse, when the trailer lights were hooked up to my vehicle, my engine would not accelerate. The hitch receiver and wiring had been installed at another Uhaul location by an "expert" and they messed up the wiring job. I was stuck an hour an a half from home, in the middle of nowhere Alabama, faced with a choice of driving at 15 MPH the entire way or proceeding illegally without brake or signal lights. I am active duty military and had an arrival date to Oklahoma that was not flexible. My husband, also active duty military, was on orders at a different location. In the two days before I had to depart Mississippi, I had to take my vehicle to multiple locations to find someone who could undo what Uhaul did to my wiring. I was charged $156.22 for the fix, but the hours I spent trying to get this remedied are irreplaceable. Please contact me at Kimbergo14@gmail.com.

We had a ruff time trying to re turn the u-haul. the man was very rude and not helpful even after talking to the Lady in Atlanta who help us rent the uhaul. poor service

Everything was just fine. I was gonna get the12x6 trailer. But there were none at this location. The 5x8 was better for me being a first-time puller. But I could of used the extra room. Could not fit all I had to bring. Well that will be another trip. But all was a good experience for me. Had no problems.

Very unhelpful. Seemed like he didn't care about anything I asked or even at all. I asked him how much it would cost us and he told me a price. I asked about the mileage and he told me "it doesn't matter, you got a couple days to return it in Crestview." I also asked where to return the truck and he provided no addresses on the paperwork and told us to turn it in anywhere in that town. Of course, the first place on Google did not even exist. We used to rent from UHaul often for our business but I remember now why we stopped using you.

The only reason they got an average rather than excellent is not their fault. UHaul told me I could pick it up at 8 a.m. when they opened and they do not open till 9 a.m. So, an hour was wasted that could have been spent packing, etc. The Hardys were great! Very accomodating and quite friends. Great people!

Uhaul management need to take a moment to review not only these locations, but the location in Tuscaloosa, AL on Skyland Blvd. In fact, management should review this entire contract, including phone call transcripts, customer service reps, and store personnel. WE WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN, EVER!!!!!

we had gone to uhaul in Tuscaloosa,Al the weekend before we needed the truck and got a confirmation but then on Friday before Sat the day to pick up,we received a call that the truck would not be available. I called the 800 number & they finally found one in Eutaw,Al this caused us a lot of distress since we thought all was worked out. hopefully another customer can benefit from this screw up!!

I really wish you would have asked me whether the equipment was what i reserved.....unfortunately your centralized reservation area gave me a 4 by 8 instead of a 5 by 8, therefore i had to leave a bed box spring in Tuscaloosa in the trash and it will now cost me additional dollars on this end to replace it

First of all I made an online reservation for a 10' truck to be picked up at the Minit Shop in Demopolis, AL. I drove 5 hours in constant rain only to find out that Mr. Baha, at the Minit Shop had given my reservation to someone else! I had two written confirmations , email & text, and a phone call from the Minit Shop, and yet Mr. Baha claimed that he didn't know who I was and thought this other person might be me...he actually laughed at me when I told him what a huge inconvience he had caused me...the fact that he didn't know my name is either a lie or the man is so inept that he should NOT be representing the UHaul comapany in any capacity! It was only after I made a phone call to the 1-800 # that a 26' truck was located...I then had to drive another hour, out of my way to pick up the truck...we ended up having to spend the night in Demopolis, which was unplanned, and the cost of gas was double what it would have been with a 10' truck. This was without a doubt an awful experience, and the only silver lining was the couple in Eutaw, AL that rented me the 26'truck. I will never trust UHaul again based on what happened to me. If a person receives not one, but three confirmations, and then arrives from another state only to find the truck is not available then what does a confirmation mean? I think Mr. Baha, at the Minit Shop in Demopolis, AL owes me the truck rental fee, and $100 for the gas.
