I drove an hour to pick up the truck, they were having computer issues from the start and it took well over an hour to get it sorted out. So for a move that should've started at 10 AM, it started at 3 PM! I don't feel that it has anything to do with the location. I think the U-Haul system overall is what needs to be fixed! You book a vehicle two weeks before hand and they wait until the day before and tell you can't have it. They feel because they are one of the only self moving trucking companies, that they can do whatever they want.

Make sure that the reserved U-Haul well ahead if time is actually there. I had reserved in Hinton. Two days before before pick up they call me to say it’s no longer available, that they reserved another one for me in Whitecourt, which is 2 hours away. So I drive all the way to pick it up. I park beside a U-Haul in Whitecourt and coincedently they call me to say my U-Haul is in Edson. So I had to drive to Edson to pick it up(add another hour to my wasted gas, time and mileage on my vehicule) . The service in Edson itself was good. The service with U-Haul in general is horrible and disappointing.

Lance JWe had booked a trailer online a week before we needed it. When I went to pick up the trailer I was told that they didn’t have a trailer there for me. They said that someone else had the trailer out and they wouldn’t be bringing it back until late that evening. I had to change my plans to accommodate picking up the trailer the next day.
