The truck was not clean inside or outside. We ended up cleaning the inside ourselves to make sure we didn't get stuck with the cleaning fee. The pick up location owner was nice enough but did not do a walk around with us

my truck was pulled over and impounded for 30 days and uhaul told me my stuff that was in truck was not being held and i have to pay them $3500+ for the fees. but i had to put fluids in the truck when i rented it, tail lights were not working and nither was the cabs ventilation system, front passenger tire had slow leak and the alignment was off by 6 degrees and had a negative camber of 9 degrees which i fixed. The place i rented it from refused cash even though it says cash accepted for all rentals except pickup trucks and cargo vans, i rented a 15foot. and there twice the gas in the tank when they got it back than when i rented it. the value of my contents in the truck was about $8000 . a loss for sure as was my loss from the cargo van previously rented by a roommate. though he got 2 day rental and didnt tell me this, when my turn came to use it to move i stopped at a store to get cleaning supplies and when i came out a wrecker was hooking up my van and a pudding of a woman was standing there calling me a thief and being very disrespectful. She wouldnt let me take any of my stuff out of the van and said i have 5 days to collect my belongings from a locker at the maintenance yard opposite side of town. this was on a monday and friday when i got another rental and went to retrieve my belongings, was disgusted to see over half my stuff was missing and even stuff not mine was mixed in where manager herself offered me belongings that were not mine but that of some other person/family. my loss was a tote bin of jewelry, 2 55" flatscreen tvs, 3 laptops, clothes, 3 shotguns 3 handguns and 2 automatic assault rifles. all of which had a estimated value of $35000.. some things not replaceable like my fathers wwII medals and such and even an silver WWII concentration camp commandants ring my father personally killed the nazi and took from him. i seen the ring sold at a local auction house but they said seller was unnanmed and refused to give any info. some other stuff was seen sold on kijiji and letgo and all by people who work at that one location. when i brought the missing contents to the managers attention she didnt seem to care and her demeanor suggested she knew of the thefts and dont care., she did seem concerned only when i said the police will be investigating the missing guns and other things. but supposedly now i owe over $3500 to uhaul for the impounded truck but they stole about $43000. worth of my stuff . hey uhaul i think you owe me 39000 ish .. since im not allowed stuff that was in the truck and i seen its in a storage locker that i have no access to, maybe squash my bill and call it even or ill see you in court and there will be a zero or two added to my estimated loss.

Inspected the unit before taking it off the lot- there was a lock on the cargo door, inquired why- Rep didn't know. Instructed me to cut it off after confirming no one is still renting the unit. Lock was cut off- another customer still had 1/4 of the van full of furniture. I needed to unload it in order to complete my move. Then load it back up and return the unit. The Rep then asked if I got rid of the furniture on my dime- He was very disappointed that I didn't dispose of the furniture on my time and my dime. I wouldn't recommend this dealer.

I took the vehicle with 1/4 fuel and gave it back with 1/2, and no reimbursement was made for the fuel I added (literally the double). I think that is not different from stealing.

The trailer had a ground wire off somewhere. Cooked a fuse in my truck. I blamed the truck of course and took apart my wiring harness looking for any issue. Finally figured out in was fuse which send brake and signal power to hitch. Replaced fuse and towed my own RV and a small boat trailer since with no issue.

Very disappointed with the overall level of service. I was first sent to a location that was closed, then on hold with U-Haul for almost 10 minutes only to be disconnected and not called back. This happened 3 times, costing me over an hour. I then was sent from spruce grove to the east side of Edmonton for a new pickup location.

Staff was late opening store which made me late for my move as I it was already late since original location opened an hour earlier. Location did not have all the things I had requested such as Dolly’s 2 and 4, blankets, utility dolly. Staff answer was just go up the road and get them which wasted more time. Upon return staff was rude (female) and no customer service skills. First thing she said to me when I entered store was your late. My reply was I wouldn’t be late if I had all supplies I prefer and didn’t have to go to another location first about a dolly. When completed I Asked for cab to be called to which her reply was you have a phone which was very rude. I found the female staff ver ‘bitchy’ as I was maybe taking her away from her you tube videos. This whole interaction was a very negative one

The truck was completely filthy inside and out, the associate didn't explain anything, had me sign a couple things and then gave us keys. He didn't do a walk through with us either.

When I booked online I was to pickup from a different location. When I arrive I was told my 9' van was ready, I ordered a 10' truck. Then the guy cancelled my order and sent me to this super mart location. The guy was really good and professional. The guy at GSKSC group on 34A ave in Edmonton was TERRIBLE don't recommend going to GSKSC, go to the super mart.

On line i was told my visa debit card was accepted. When i went to pick up the rental my card would not work. The agent told me this happens all the time which really surprised me He told me only stand alone credit cards were accepted by Uhaul. He took a deposit from my debit card but then explained that he could not return the balance to my debit card .Uhaul would send me a cheque. In this day and age i was totally stunned by the archaic system you have in place .You should update it to present day standards.

The guy who served us was rude and when I booked the truck I was told I could put a $100 deposit by cash. when I got to the location the guy said no we cant we had to use credit card. I explained to him I don't have one, he said than no truck..so I was going to call different store than he said let me see what I can do He than let us use our debit but he put 133 on the card. Than when we get in the truck the gas was on empty..when he put that is had 1/4 tank ..so we had to put gas and when we returned it he did not refund us for the gas cause it was still on 1/4 tank. He was very rude and yelling at me. Never again will I go to that location. You need to get someone else working there.

Customer service was excellent and check-in was quick compared to other locations.

From this point of the stage I was not impressed as I was moved around from multiple U-Haul points. The person at the last destination did not get the best side of me.

Location didn’t set equipment up on time so had to pick up later, then store wasn’t opened on time (about 15 minutes late) Customer Service from U-Haul was good. Employee in store was friendly

Dirty vehicle; back was not swept, when we were cleaning found a press on nail under the drivers seat. Location was sketchy.

Does not take cash or debit. Only credit. Does not know how to operate U-Haul’s system, and tried to ask for an additional $230 upon returning the equipment, even though this was an out of town trip, and paid for upfront. Uhaul said I could return this truck to *any* location, however when we tried returning to a different location, the staff there said they had no information on the rental, and were going to call the police unless we returned it to the originating location. Pursuant to that, uhaul seemingly had an impossible time getting me a truck. I booked a 20ft truck three weeks in advance, then was downgraded to a 15, then a 10, then back up to a 15... at which point this location called me back saying the truck isn’t available until two hours past the pickup time- even though the uhaul manager (Patrick) said the truck was on the lot and guaranteed for me. Suddenly the truck is available yet again. All of this, to move myself 11 kms in town, with 4 days. All in (since my booking became last minute???) I was given a higher out of town rate, (compared to the 19.95 per day, and 53 cents per mile, offered as an apology by someone in the booking office, for downgrading me to a15 foot truck the first time) so that I was able to secure any truck. My move cost me $145 + gas, hours on the phone with uhaul, and too much stress to describe. I’ll be choosing a different company for any future moves. This is a scam, uhaul bases it’s business model, preying upon people that can not make alternative arrangements 3 hours before a move. I’m totally disgusted.

The back of the van could have been swept out and the gas checked. The gas wasn't quite full when I picked it up.
