Take "In and Out" from your inventory of stores offering U-Haul. They steal from you, they rent trucks without you knowing it, they rent trucks without contracts being made unless the customer INSISTS that a contract be made -- THEN they will send one.
There is no one to answer the phone at this location. Another location reached out to a "field manager" to try and get a person to call me back. I was told I had a 30 minute window to arrive to get the truck. The lady knew absolutely nothing about the truck---and I had never driven one before. I had to seek help from others. The truck bed was dirty. I was given the keys to the wrong truck. Probably worst of all was the insistence that I pay with "cash" as their credit card reader was "down". I refused as I knew I would be returning the truck after hours, and I did not want a delay in getting the $100 back. There was something very very uncomfortable about this incident. She repeatedly told me that there was an ATM outside; she said the credit card I provided would not work (although I had used that card earlier in the day); I provided another card, and she reluctantly said it was "accepted."
U-Haul location is being shut down. New store ownership had no clue as to the rental process. Proper truck wasn't there - had to take 20' instead of the 26' that I reserved, therefore had to make two trips to move instead of one, costing twice as much gas and twice as many miles charged. Truck had not been cleaned out. Of course, the store charged the max amount for truck and miles so feel unfairly charged due to circumstances. Very insensitive to any customer issue. They care only about the $$. Have put in for field manager to call to discuss but no one has contacted yet. : (
I asked to pick up the truck at a different location (much closer to my home) and UHaul sent me 10 miles further to a gas station to get my truck. This facility had no supplies I needed so I had to go back to the original location to get my supplies. This has happened a few different times. Seems like Uhaul doesnt really care about their customers.
As what seems to be a systemic issue with Uhaul, the truck wasn't properly checked in once I returned it. Two days after I returned the truck it was FINALLY shown as returned. Uhaul charged me for another day and half because of an employees failure to proper do his job.
Customer service has the poor feed back on a recorded call. The took a photo copy of my credit card! They charged me more than was agreed.
Furniture pads were left in the truck when we picked it up. Not a big deal though. The worst part was how I scheduled my U-Haul and they didn't have my truck for me at the location, therefore we had to drive to another location. This is the 3rd time I've had issues with U-Haul as far as trying to pickup a truck or dolly and the equipment wasn't available. As always U-Haul customer service offered some extra miles (since we had to go out of the way) and a discount on the rental, but honestly I'd rather not deal with the headache of needing to call customer service about equipment that is unavailable when they said it would be. I've used other rental truck places in the past and I figured I'd give U-Haul another chance but once again they have caused more of a hassle than a convenience.

Uhaul system was down when I arrived at location. I was informed my uhaul would be entered into the system when it was back up and I would be emailed the confirmation. The confirmation I received stated I was being charged an extra day even though I had the truck and dolly back in time, and I was charged a 20$ fee for after hours servicing which shouldn't have applied. Currently out of almost 80$ which should not have been the case.

I reserved a rental closer to my home and the day of the rental I was told I needed to go to a different location for pickup. I had to pay extra for mileage and most likely would not have if I could have rented from the closer place.
First, this is not the location I reserved on uhaul.com and Uhaul never notified me of the change. I found out when I called the original place. That's not In & Out's fault though. This location is a gas station and it took a bit to check out while the clerk waited on the other customers while working on my paperwork. The clerk was pleasant enough to work with. Neither the cab or the truck bed had been cleaned out and the mileage indicated on the check out form was incorrect. This location also did not have any moving blankets, which I had also reserved in advance on Uhaul.com
Nothing. Truck was excellent in great condition. Representative was super nice and and very helpful. I would use this location again and recommend to anyone.

Note that this review has nothing to do with the pickup or dropoff location. It addresses the ability of UHaul to deliver service......I made a reservation to have a tow Dolly available at a set location. The reservation was made on June 19th for July 3rd pickup. When I checked online, there was a note indicating that the Tow Dolly would not be available at that location. All of the other UHaul facilities in the area had the same message. WHen checking with the CHAT service, the response was....."Jeffery your preferred location is not guaranteed. It is too soon to determine pick up location. No we do not take equipment to the preferred location. You will be contacted to let you know where you are going to pickup." Can't UHaul logistics plan to fulfill an order at a predetermined location, rather than have their customer go to an undetermined location?
The attendant was too busy talking to her colleague to notice that she had a vehicle available to rent. When she told me there was only one vehicle which was already reserved I had to point out the other one on the other side of the store. She never apologized for the mistake or provided a better customer experience. At check out, she stated the internet was slow so she would have to email a receipt instead of print one out. I was confused by this statement because if the internet is slow as she claimed, how would she be able to send an email? It was the second location I had been to specifically because of poor customer service. Uhaul really needs to monitor their franchisees. They are failing the company. And by the way, I've rented a uhaul 4 times this month alone, so I'm not a casual customer.
Only customer in the store ! After twenty five minutes,I was informed my wife is coming to help. She couldn't help, now I'm calling my son. The son called Uhaul and spoke with a manager, at this time I've been here 45 minutes. I explained the amount of traffic I'm facing, due to the time it's taking to rent this trailer. He replied, not my fault ! It's Uhaul changing everything. Uhaul representatives should not be like this. I had made a reservation.
I was charged for extra mileage yesterday, April 7, 2019. Now all of a sudden there are fraud charges on my credit card on April 8, 2019, 3:00 a.m. for Walmart on line shopping.
It was easy, quick and painless.
Equipment rented online was not available, had to drive to separate location to rent
Have supplies available and equipment ready. No moving blankets were available and I had to get my own equipment (after leaving and realizing I did not have the dollies I rented).
