Stop advertising 19.99 on vans and trucks. My price has never been even close to 19.99. Always around $60 for a few mile round trip.
I was told that location services check in doesn't always work and to call the next morning and they'd sort it out for me. Well I wake up to a surprise 20 dollar extra charge. I called, as instructed, and she wouldn't "sort it" as promised. She said someone would call me back and I never heard a word.
Everything went well, just as verified when I ordered the truck. The staff person I talked to when I made my reservation and the persons I worked with picking up and returning the truck made things easy for me. They were all knowledgeable and courteous. Particularly with the COVID-19 procedures. I was impressed.
Allow day-use customers to park close to the office. By the way, your on-line check-in app is TERRIBLE.
Disappointed that I had to drive to Corvallis when I needed the truck in Albany, OR. Kudos to the Eugene Uhaul person who recommended getting the truck in Albany instead of driving a truck from and to Eugene and got me into the Uhaul system. Well done! Almost drove off without the pads.
You gotta improve your online process. Especially if you are going to maintain such a small staff at peak times. The guys I worked with were great but I spent a while at home getting set up and checked in and it turned out to be a waste of time once I got there to pick up my truck. I had to do it all over again.
I didn't receive or realize the check trailer condition email was sent and needed to be completed before I was already underway-and it timed out before I could stop and complete it.

I started with mobile check in but it was pouring down rain and I was getting soaked. Then, when I opened the cabin of truck there was standing water in the cup holders. I noticed that water was leaking through the ceiling and dripping into cup holders. Fortunately the office was open and sales representative found me a truck that was not leaking. We had to convert the mobile check in to in-person which was nice not having to be outside in the rain. U-haul remedied the problem quickly and I was satisfied with the truck rental.
I specifically requested a 4x8 trailer and made a reservation for it in advance. I wanted the smaller trailer for a long trip specifically for hauling less weight and the lower profile would have enabled my van better fuel economy. I didn't consider getting a 5x8 trailer an upgrade. I didn't want the extra height and weight. Why bother making a reservation for equipment that wasn't available? I made a reservation was for 4 days. On arrival at the dealership, they thought I only needed it for 6 hours. Just because your company is one of the only rental agencies in the business doesn't mean that you are allowed to mistreat your customers! I will remember this experience if I have future dealings with your company!
I am thankful to the team at UHaul. We ran into horrible weather and they were so supportive. Austin was fabulous and very kind.

The agent was rude, abusive with his power and lacked all use of discretion regarding the use of masks/face shields. I will not go back there. Indeed, I asked a friend to return the vehicle because of this inappropriate employee who felt obligated to enforce his own version of our inept governor's edicts! He seemed to enjoy hassling me, despite my full compliance. I was never rude, though I certainly wanted to be. I complied with all of his constant directions. At no time was he or anyone else at risk. BTW, I am a retired physician, so I do know what I am talking about! He did not know that, and I did not share it. He needs counseling on public interaction, especially at times of mandates, regardless of the logic or illogic inherent in them.

You should not have the sign of $19.99 on the side of the vehicle when the bill comes out to $58. Way too expensive for a 10 mile round trip. Totally ridiculous.
It was great to be able to drive up to the "return equipment" line and have a technician come out within minutes to uninstall the trailer and send me on my way! Thank you!
Truck was permeating of marijuana stench. Cloths blankets and pillows needed to be thrown out. Tried to scam mileage and gas too. Reporting to credit card company and request a full refund and damages to my property. You should not be renting out these trucks whe. They smell like this.
All the people we spoke with at this location (by phone or at pick-up) were knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous. The steps involving use of computer or other device worked well. NOTE: originally had selected Philomath location, but learned when I talked to them by phone to make sure online reservation received by them, that by the time of our rental they would no longer be a U-Haul Pick up Location. So we did have to drive into Corvallis, which required 20 minutes or so, for pick-up and drop-off. An e-mail from U-Haul regarding that would have been nice.
I was a "needy" customer. They handled everything quickly and fairly. Location was very convienient.
The cargo van we rented locked itself with the keys in it while running before we even left the parking lot. When we reported it to the office the manager told us we had to pay to have a tow truck to unlock the van! Luckily it was covered by insurance and he let us leave with another van. We needed the van an extra day and I was told because of the days rented and the mileage, it would be cheaper for us. Instead of 79 cents per mile it would be more like 49 cents a mile. When we took the van back the guy helping us told he know the original van was like that. Why did we get that van in the first place if they knew there was an issue with it? Also, what happened to the cost cut on the mileage? Conveniently overlooked? I am quite disappointed in the Corvallis U-Haul and will not be using them again.
Your Service via the 800# is very good. I found each of them to be professional and responsive. I was not happy with the dead battery - and recommend a better a better preventative maintenance program.
