This has been the worst experience I have ever had using UHaul. I reserved online 26 foot truck, dolly and furniture pads to pick after store hours On Tuesday June 2 at 8pm and to be ready the following morning when my movers show up at 7 am. My pick up location got updated to the service center in Concord NC. Which I was fine with. I show up and go through the online checking process and the message saying I need to pick up at 7am on 6/2/2020 which was 13 hours earlier in the day! I call the customer service number and the First Lady I get says that truck is not available for local day rental. I asked why did it let make the reservation online IF is could not happen? She needed to talk to the manager. After a long hold she said we can find me another one. I said it needs to be in Concord NC. She give me everything 20+ miles away. Then she forwarded me to the “Scheduling Center” that has hours of 7 am to 7 pm. By now this is at 8:30 pm. I call back and started the process again. Finally this lady was able to find another truck less than 10 miles away. But now it would not have the dolly and the furniture pads. Now I have to drive back on Wednesday morning to get the rest of the items I needed for my move that I had did my part and reserved a week ago. Meanwhile my movers that are being paid hourly are showing up at 7 am to being moving furniture with no furniture pads and dolly. I need something to compensate me for spending over two hours chasing down my order then having to go back the following morning to get the rest of my supplies that I reserved online all while my movers wait. This is the worst online and customer service experience I’ve ever had. What can be done with all the extra effort I’m having to put in when I did my job and ordered exactly what I needed and when I needed?

Answer the messages left on the phone. I called after receiving my uhaul, left voicemail, and still to this day haven’t heard anything back. I was terrified my uhaul was going to blow up on me but I had to take it for what it was.

Do not use Mr Storage for any UHaul moves. Started at the Harrisburg location ended here. Tried to rent us a UHaul full of soot. Then made us pay a higher price for the only other one he had which was clean. We have used many Uhaul locations around the Charlotte area and these are definitely the worst!

Picking up via mobile app was very hard to use. I followed all instructions and it stated that it was waiting for my approval. If the worker inside didn't come out to help me, there is no telling how much longer it would have taken.

The truck should have a full tank of fuel. It is unfair that the customer is supposed to "guess" how much fuel is going to be used or how much needs to be added to turn the truck in with the same amount of fuel as when it was picked up.

Pick up location met our expectations; no improvement needed. It did rain a few days before our pick up date and because the site was a little rutted, we had to walk through/around muddy ruts. Key is being a prepared U-Haul partner and not having to rely on the location for every single thing.

If a customer pays cash for a deposit he is supposed to receive cash back not a check and not days later

We weren't sure where to drop off the trailer. No one told us where to leave it and the lot was very full. We didn't think we would be capable of backing it in so we just left it in front of some UHAUL trucks. Clear direction as to where to drop it off would have been very helpful.

I rented blankets as I was picking up dining room table and chairs. When I saw the final bill I was charged $30 cleaning fee for not returning them folded. When complained that no one told me they had to be returned folded she said it states it on the bag. Well sorry but I did not read the bag just tore into when loading furniture. I believe that is an excessive amount for not folding a blanket. Will find somewhere else to rent from next time.
