The uhaul had no quality wiper blades it made our driving horrible since it was raining that day the morning staff was great the nightly staff was uncomfortable having conversations in front of customers with foul language very unpleasant.

I asked for a a large truck to be reserved for me at the Fort Kackson location Columbia off Forest Drive. I get there and was told I had to go to the UHaul on Decker Blvd. to pick up a truck. I was also told I would get a discount, if the truck was returned to Greeneood by a certain time. They had me returning the truck in Georgia or something. I had my daughter and her family, my sister and her husband and mu 1st cousin to help. I am disabled so I can’t lift anything. It was getting later and later. It wound up costing me $156 when I was told it would be $125. It was a nightmare.

Person at the location was not aware how to operate the equipment. She had to call another person to get the trailer hooked to the truck and the issue was very easy to fix. She should have known how to resolve that problem, which held be up leaving the facility. We had to wait for the person to get there to fix the problem. In turn that held me up from leaving Columbia and there was a terrible storm I had to drive through, in which I got to my destination very late and fighting against the storm. This was my second time coming to SC for that trailer. I was in SC two weeks ago and I spent almost four hours at the U Haul on Two Notch Road near Providence Hospital. That was a very unpleasant visit. I spent over $150.00 in gas coming to SC twice. I am not going to do this again. Also, I had to get another hitch I didn't need. Bad experience.

Locking pin on back right of trailer was bent making it impossible to open and lower the back gate to load it. This was not noticeable or known until we got to our pick up location to load it. It was very difficult to load without being able to lower the gate. At drop off, I showed the gentleman the problem and explained the issue, but he offered no remedy, discount, or refund. He was kind, but I was disappointed.

The General Manager at this location (Angela) was extremely nice. We've rented from u-haul in the past and was always met with some sort of attitude and this was not the case. Such a welcomed change.

Unfortunately this communication is not a positive one. I had the worst experience ever with my rental yesterday. It has soured me from ever using U-Haul again. Your manager was extremely rude and inconsiderate. As a 100% Permanently and Totally disabled veteran I was appalled by how rude your manager spoke to me on the phone and when I returned the vehicle. Not to mention I went went 70 miles and was charged for 93. I plan to complain to the BBB in reference to the egregious and dishonest practices of rigging the odometer to over charge customers. I will also let them know that when I pulled up to the facility to return the vehicle because your Manager was upset with my previous phone call he rushed me out of the vehicle and requested the keys without allowing me to completely remove my personal items. Further, he stated that I needed to return the vehicle before the contractual time agreed upon because "there is another reservation that was booked before yours...it's not my fault you didn't plan in advance." I was shocked and disgusted to be spoken to in that manner. I hope all of your customers are not subjected to this horrible service. Mrs. Lenore M. The location that was sent in the email was different from were i had to pick the trailer up. I had to pick it up about 5 or 6 miles in difference then i had to pay in cash because the teller would not take my cards. The trailer was gray and dirty and had an horrible smell inside when opened. I will NEVER USE U-HAUL AGAIN.
