I ordered moving blankets with my van, but Hallmans didn't have any available. They let U-Haul know, but U-Haul never passed the message on to me. Because of that, I had to make a separate stop to buy them, an extra cost and delay. U-Haul needs to improve the customer communication in these kinds of circumstances. The celluar signal at this location can be kind of spotty, so bear that in mind when doing the unattended pickup or dropoff. You may have to move around away from the vehicle to get a decent signal, which can add significantly more time to both processes.John D.

I could not access the van via the moble process because the uHaul app could not detect my location. The location setting was turned on and google maps had no trouble seeing my location. So I had to wait an hour for the place to open. I was NOT happy about that.Eric S.
The proprietor of Hallman's General Store was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about the product. The purchase and return of the rental van was excellent. I would paraphrase the encounter as good old fashioned customer service with the added convenience of modern technology. Thank you Harold Hallman for maintaining your Uhaul franchise. The truck I was assigned was not pulled out so instead I had to look for it in the overgrown field on the property. The truck's key wasn't in the lockbox since there was no lockbox located on the truck as indicated by the photo on the app. Since I was storing property inside the truck overnight, I didn't sleep well since there wasn't a lock for the cargo area as indicated there would be in the photos. The truck had dog/pet hair of some kind all over the floor and there was some sort of water/liquid stains/marks all over the cup holders and dashboard area. Not a huge deal, but there was definitely room for improvement.Jeffrey W.

I originally selected Hallmans in Chester Springs, PA for my drop off location but when I arrived and opened the uhaul 24/7 drop off app it had my location 9 miles away in Pottstown, Pa . However, a customer service agent kindly changed it back to Hallmans. My drop off went longer than it should have but it all worked out.Virginia A.

Truck was dirty inside cab and in the box. Charged for fuel even though I returned with the correct amount. Have picture of mileage and fuel level as proof. Filed a dispute with uhaul. Avoid this little hole in the wall dealer and just go to a Uhaul store. NOT RECOMMENDED.Ronald F.
Hallman's has a unique quality, I drove to this location ( farther than I had to) knowing that the service and integrity is solid. You dont always find a local store that has survived the test of time an closing in on 100 generational years in providing service, kindness and integrity to their customers like Hallman's.Lisa D.

I am complete disappointed with uhaul. We use them every time we need to rent a truck, but this time was the worst experience and customer service I have ever experience anywhere. We reserved a truck weeks in advance at a location that was convent for us and our moving schedule. We were on our way to pick up our truck and we received a call from the location we were suppose to pick up our moving truck from. They stated that there was a problem with their computer system and they did not have our truck. We then needed to go farther away to pick up our truck. This was a major inconvenience since we had movers now waiting for us and we got started late. We called U-Haul and they stated that we could return the truck to our original location instead of going all the way our of our way to return it where we picked it up. We get the original location at the time we were suppose to drop it off and guess what? They wouldn't let us drop the truck off there. We had to go where we picked it up. We are beyond frustrated and disappointed in uhaul because now we were charged for miles that we had not anticipated on using. You may want to rethink this system and maybe be a little more helpful to your customers to plan in advance like we did. Thank you for messing up our move!! We will never use uhaul again and I will be telling everyone about this!Michael M.
They were convenient to my new home. 4:30 Sunday afternoon they were closed. Because they were closed I had no personal contact. Also the process of online drop off, check-in needs to be streamlined. Not like I couldn't handle the process. But I could see some people in my generation 60+ freak out!Brian M.
No instructions, no one there to explain the process or help- the location was closed upon arrival due to the employee being late. . The person working there was rude and totally annoyed that we were even there.Joanna S.
