Put a customer in a better truck. I rented a 20ft truck to go 1200 miles. It got 7 miles to a gallon. The 26 fter I rented last month from BP station across the street was a newer truck it had cruise control and got 14 mpg completely full. The 20 was only half full. The outside of 20 ft truck had Many stickers on it where there was previous damage. Left front headlight went out mid trip. I rented a hand truck that wasn't available when I got there. They substituted a appliance hand truck for it. Not what I wanted. Man who handled my rental gave me the keys and sent me a link to fill in some info. BP is right across the street who also are a uhaul dealer. Wasn't able to get a truck there because agent on phone said they had none.
Misquoted my rental by nearly 100 dollars. Truck was in poor condition and extremely high mileage. Very disappointed.
Proper equipment that was requested and better customer service

It would have been nice to know that they do not have furniture dollys at this location. I was charged for it because I ordered it but never got one. The regular dolly was old but worked.
The pick up facility was good, but I had reserved for Bainbridge, IN then it was changed to Brownsburg causing me to drive an additional 60 miles. Then the furniture cart I had asked for was not available.
I couldn't get the phone app to work from the location for self service. Neither at pickup or upon return. It recognized my account and rental but it just kept giving error messages.

Better service at store and U-Haul. I had questions and could not get any answer from u-haul or the store. When returning the parking lot was full the back door was stuck open. Called U-Haul 3 times and went in store. They did not want to come out because it was raining and said they would take care of it
Very unprofessional service overall. The clerk mentioned to me a couple of time that he couldn't add me to the system for a reservation, and that I had to do it online. It wasn't after I tried multiple times, called the 1-800 for assistance that he manually entered the reservation. I lost an hour through this process.
Drop off was terrible over an hour process
The drop location was a problem. When I picked up the truck I let him know where I wanted to drop it. The location of the paperwork was not on the contract, but dropped it where I told him. The next day I went to the location to make sure everything was ok and was told they were no longer a drop off location and I was advised to take it to the correct location. I was not told this location was no longer accepting rental trucks when I picked it up. Improvement in communications is needed.
It took me an hour to get my phone location setting to work & 30 minutes to get the back door lock to open! Thankful to see the $20 after hour charge was deducted from my bill because no one had informed me of this charge!
Cab was dirty - heavy dirt waste on floor. And freight area needed some sweeping at pickup. None of that bothered me, but a little surprising.
The truck was good and clean, but the customer service during the pandemic online and through the phone was handled very poorly. My reservation was changed on us halfway through the reservation I had planned. It was major mess and makes me not want to use uhaul again.
Good service - close to my storage
The help desk refused to help and didn't know the 1800 go uhaul number. The CSR on the phone was very helpful both for check in and check out however- the app did not recognize my account by phone number or email.
The 24/7 lock where I was told to gain access to the key did NOT indicate what to do with the lock. I kept the lock in my possession thinking I would use the same lock to secure the van key where I picked it up.
Pickup process (via cell phone) was very clumsy and repetive. Took way too long as it was total repeat of original process.

Perhaps train the people at this location to actually check the vehicle in when you drop off keys so you aren't charged for an extra day
The gentleman that worked with me was very upfront letting me know that U-haul makes sure to get their money. That played out by him not being able to change my reservation to a different truck. I ate the cost of the first reservation and had to pay for an entire second reservation. Very unwilling to help me and again, put it on U-haul instead of taking ownership. Needless to say I'll only rent from Penske or Budget in the future. Lost my business for life.
The online system is not very user friendly. You should be able to do a portion of it before you get to the location. I sat in the parking lot and watched two walk in customers get taken care of before I was able to get my rental.
