I rent a cargo van every six weeks or so and it's always been a good experience with U-Haul on Broadway in North Boulder.
location wasn't open when I dropped off but I checked in via the U-Haul drop off.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. I initially rented a trailer, but after a few hours of packing realized it was not going to be big enough. Took trailer back and within a few minutes was out with a truck instead. Very painless transaction. Thank you!
I did not sign any documents, I was not given any paperwork, and no.o e explained there was a mileage cap so I was stunned there was overage charges. My storage locker was an hour in an opposite direction so just two trips to unload were likely the culprit.
The location was great but the reservation process was awful and I have been overcharged for my rental and am still waiting a response.
There seemed to be data lost between the time I called, and the time I arrived and had to supply it again. Also, u-haul should make it clear that your smaller, open trailers do NOT have suspension. This makes for a rumbly, bouncy experience that is unpleasant if off-pavement, or on rough pavement.

The website/reservation system is terrible. I tried to bump my reservation up 1 hr (3pm to 3pm instead of 4pm to 4pm) just before I left to pick up the truck (because I was ready an hour early) and the system gave the truck reservation to another customer! So I had to stress and rush to get the truck back 5 hours early (10 am), and the other customer had to start an hour late. Fix this!
As soon as I walked into the store the person working was rude from the beginning. I had already wasted 3 hours of my life the day before on hold to sort out the change in my order. When I got there he couldn't find my order anywhere and was trying to charge me several hundred dollars more than I was told it would be. The man working continued be absolutely rude and horrible to me. He told me to meet him out back and while I was trying to check in the truck and trailer he seemed like I was wasting his time doing exactly what uhaul required. When I got done with the check in he just walked off, he didn't give me any advice on driving 35 foot of truck and trailer. This wasn't my first time driving a truck and trailer but it was the longest truck and trailer I have ever pulled for close to a 1000 miles and the worker was absolutely rude the whole time I was there and then just walked off.

Extremely over priced and no mention of after hours check in charge and over mileage fee. I understand you as a company need to charge accordingly to survive but to charge 240.00 for 7 hrs of usage,over mileage fee,drop off fee, and expect customer to fill tank up is absurd! It's in the contract right!! But all is good U haul got their money and will continue to do so to other customers who are in need of a truck and U haul knows they got you by the @#%/&!! What's the consumer to do and why would a corporation care! It's all about the mighty dollar!!!!
The vehicle was dirty, did not have a half tank of gas, and had significant issues with the tire pressure sensors. Additionally, the mileage allotted was insufficient for the address I needed to go to, despite my taking the most direct route and telling the salesman where I was headed. Not sure what happened, I've used this location before with good results.
We should have inspected the vehicle together first because when I came back there was a scratch on it that I can't recall when it happened. I think it was there before hand but I got charged 200.00 for it even though Im very sure I did not do it.
