Had an issue with getting the truck when requested. They did not set it up for the 24/7 access like I needed but fortunately we were able to reschedule the movers and still get the truck when the location opened. Would recommend calling to verify equipment rather than assuming all is good to go. But they were overall very helpful, and I'm guessing the manager is who called me to ensure that my issues were addressed.

Lots of dings, scratches on the truck. Old but clean interior. Downsized from a. 26' to a 20ft truck. It's not a minor inconvenience it's a major inconvenience. Yes we sign the box but the lady on the phone was rude and nonchalant about the whole matter. I quote'It did say we were in low supplyâ€ Well it's not like I can say, Well I am in short supply of money Uhual, so I'm only going to give you half of what you are charging. The fix isn't just to say, well we will give you a tow trailer. First, I have to be able to safely drive it over a snowy pass but I am paying moving packers by the hour so I have to fill one truck up, drive across town while I'm paying these packers and get a hitch put on and drive back to then restart packing. Let's not even get on what the gas usage would look like to tow a trailer with a Uhual.

You have a truck that leaks water into the driving cabin, rainy day!! You charge me for one whole day of rental when I show up within one hour of dropping the truck off. When I say I wasn't informed verbally of the time I needed to drop it off. The person who checked me out told me twice, after I said that and if there was something he could do to help with that, he repeated... it's in the contract I should have read it. Really. No respect for you having a policy to tell your employees say that!! Will never recommend you!! Bad moveðŸ˜‰

The windows in the truck were VERY dirty and at that time in the afternoon VERY dangerous to drive. I was going to have the truck for a couple of hours. I shouldn't have had to clean the windows.
I was provided a trailer with an excessively worn tire. I was concerned about this as I was towing it more than 500 miles in one day, during which inclement weather was expected (heavy rain, and potentially snow later in the day). I also had to travel over two mountain passes to get to my destination. When I explained my concerns about the tire to the U-haul employee and asked if I could swap it with another trailer on their lot with excellent tire tread, I was told the other trailer was reserved for a "one-way" rental and thus couldn't be exchanged. Since I was returning my trailer to the same location it was considered a "local move trailer". I asked if the entire wheel could be exchanged for one with better tread, and was told they don't have the experience there to do so. The employee then instructed me to contact "U-haul Traffic" to see if another trailer was available that day anywhere in the area, but didn't provide me with the number to call. He finally called himself and found there were no other trailers available in the area. He then said if I had a concern about the tire while in route I could call U-Haul Roadside Assistance. With no other options, I took the local trailer and headed out. As predicted, I hit heavy rain. The trailer actually hydroplaned twice through the heavy rain. While traveling over a mountain pass on the way back I experienced heavy snow and the trailer actually lost traction and slid sideways a bit. When I returned the trailer the next morning I spoke with the same employee I had discussed my concerns with the prior day. I suggested to him that the tire should be replaced and explained my experience. His response: "I shouldn't have taken the trailer if I wasn't happy with it!" REALLY?? I was and remain astounded by his response. I have filed a complaint with U-Haul. A Customer Service Manager provided a courteous but meaningless response. I'm still awaiting an explanation for what distinguishes a one-way trailer from a local trailer...
RV was old and used a lot of gas... the 29.95 a day rental for two days in misleading and ended costing me 160+$ to many hidden fees...
Wish corporate would fund a re-design of the mobile reservation app with a new developer! The app is confusing and rarely functions the same way twice i.e. inconsistent experience each time I've tried to use it.
Very good and quick service
I reserved a trailer. Drove 3 1/2 hours to pick it up and bring stuff home from there. 1 1/2 hours before my pick up time they called to tell me the trailer wasn't available. I missed this call as I was driving already and out of cell service. When I arrived I had to call from the pick location. They did work to solve the issue but it cost me over twice the rate of the trailer and I had to tow my vehicle home. I also had to drive to another u haul location to get the equipment to resolve this.
I would never, ever, recommend uHaul. Our reservation was made almost a month before the pickup. Less than 48 hours before we were to pick up the 26' truck we were told they did not hold it. All we could get was a ten or 15 foot truck. This location pulled some strings to get us a 20' but I still don't know why the dispatch lied to us.
