I tried to use the self-check-in and it required contacting my employer and a picture of my passport. It was super-annoying and forced me to check in at the desk. An unnecessary frustration.

What needs to happen is UHaul needs to fix their geofencing sensitivity and their app - Each time I use the app to do any kind of business with UHaul, i have to back out after it freezes for several minutes or refuses to progress because it thinks I've left the area. I know UHaul wants people to use the app to be sure they have a consistent quality experience, but wow, no one wants the consistent low level of quality the app provides. And again, all that aside, these guys at this location did great, they were friendly and helpful, and the equipment was in great shape. If I need to rent another truck up in Bellingham, I'm 100% certain I'll be choosing Sitka as the source. Thank you!
Aaron DThe actual pickup location was great, they had a truck for me and they were very helpful and speedy. That being said I wish I could rate this poor but I do not want Sitka builders to get a bad review. The Ferndale Self storage uhaul location is where I would leave the bad review for. I reserved a Uhaul truck from their location over a month ago. They forgot to put the key out and since I wanted to pick up at 9am(a reasonable hour) they weren't open until 10am. I got a message from Uhaul saying to call them. Found this all out while I was on my way out to pickup the Uhaul. I had friends showing up at my old home to help me move who needed to wait for me. I was then redirected to another Uhaul location and was told there would be a truck there for me. Upon arriving there I was told they had no trucks available of any size. Then was redirected to the third location of Sitka Builders. I really dislike leaving bad reviews but I will most certainly never be using Uhaul again so here go.

JONATHAN GThe directions to get to the location were incorrect- we found it by looking for U-Haul trucks. I was very frustrated with U-Haul that I couldn’t specify the drop off location. My storage unit is located at a U-Haul storage facility but instead I had to go to another place and deal with all the logistics of getting a ride back etc, instead of simply being able to leave it at the U-Haul facility next to my home. I’m very disappointed in what appears to be complete disinterest in customer service at U-Haul. Didn’t used to be that way. Now you just ask dissatisfied customers to give their time to answering surveys to improve customer service- as though that somehow makes up for the fact that there is virtually NO customer service. You just look for ways for the customer to help your bottomline rather than seeing running a business as a means of providing a service and creating a mutually beneficial relationship. Shame on you.
