They were pleasant to deal with, but I don't think the truck was the right size.

VV Food Mart is just a neighborhood rental site; it is new and the staff was good but very slow. However, this is a rating of the area facility and U-Haul in general. We have rented U-Haul trucks several times for long distance moves; this was by far the worst experience ever. (1) There were supposed to be 60 blankets; there were actually 8, necessitating a visit to the area facility for more. (2) After approximately 150 miles the engine coolant was below minimum. After a 1.5 gallon refill at our expense and a further 30 miles, the coolant was again below minimum, necessitating a visit to a repair shop and three-hour delay. (3) Less than an hour after getting back on the road, the "Check Engine" light came on and then went off after a few minutes. (4) Two days later, the "Check Engine" light came on again and stayed on for three hours. A stop at an auto parts store for a diagnosis revealed misfires on two cylinders.
MYRON EThe personnel there were clearly inexperienced at receiving the vehicles. Eventually, they were able to receive the truck, however it took much longer than necessary. I don't fault the people at the store, but I fault U-Haul for not properly training them. The clerk was unable to resolve the improper gas level issue, of course, he has only the computer to go by. Overall, I rate the experience poor.
