My original reservation was at Charlie's Tire in Bellingham, Ma, 2 miles from my house. The reservation got messed up and after over an hour and a Great Uhaul Rep on the phone, I had to get a van 13 miles away from my house. (Added an extra 26 miles to my cost plus a hour of aggravation). The floor of the van I got was dirty, but it's winter here and they did not expect it to be going out, so I'll give them a break on that. I did appreciate the effort to get me a van by your dealer at 182 Pond St. Ashland, MA . The van was almost new and drove and ran well. Most of the rental process could have been done prior to picking up the vehicle, though. Also there needs to be instructions on how to open the lock boxes. The area was not well lit and I was already stressed. I would try the service again to see if it has been improved.

A-1 Automotive did a terrific job for U-Haul on a busy Labor Day moving weekend. U-Haul themselves somehow messed up my van reservation at this busy time, but the A-1 Automotive manager and his U-Haul contact came to the rescue and resolved it for me at pickup time. Thank you!

Online reservation scheduled this location for Saturday pick-up. This location is NOT open all day Saturday. The location was excellent working with us, but if I had not called to check with the location I would have arrived on Saturday and not been able to pick up the unit. The door cable on the loading door was misaligned when we licked up the truck, and when we finished we were not able to completely close the door. Also the steering and alignment on this vehicle needs serious attention!

I was misguided to a completely different location than I had originally booked/planned for. I was not told about this change of plans until I logged onto the website as I was calling my uber to the pick up location. I specifically chose that I did not want a location with self pick up as it was my first time using uhaul, but of course they sent me to a store that was closed on Saturday’s. Upon arrival I was forced to check myself in which took another 45 minutes due to untimely responses from staff. I was supposed to pick up my truck by 11, but due to an unprecedented change in pick up location and untimely responses, I wasted an hour of my booked time. I am very unhappy with their service.

The customer service phone calls were absolutely terrible. I wasted so much time on hold, and then couldn't get answers. We went back and forth about where I was going to pick up the trailer. The first, second, and third places that were arranged were all very far away from my house and inconvenient. Eventually, I was on the phone and someone figured out that I could pick up a trailer in Ashalnd, which was great. But the experience was painful and truly one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered.

Pick up location for a one way rental are very inconvenient. Three for three. I choose a pickup location within a few miles from my house and your office changes it to a location over 30 minutes away. Round trip over an hour. Ridiculous!!
