Cómo funcionan los comentarios de U-HaulVery helpful and would use this storage facility again. I'll see you in the spring.
RANDY P | Experiencia generalI will not recommend this facility. Maik or whoever is in charge is an ignorant arrogant jerk. Has no respect for his customers
David G | Experiencia generalThis storage place is owned by the most disgusting men I have ever encountered in my entire life. Due to a clerical error on their part, a payment to them didn’t post the day it was due. The next day I began receiving threats from a man with a very thick accent who told me to pay immediately via email transfer or he would burn my items. When I explained that he couldn’t demand money from me and I would visit the office on Monday, two days later, he told me to make sure to come so he could slap me in the face for the disrespect. I contacted the RCMP and filed a complaint. The payment was processed on their end the next day day without issue. During my move out notice, I gave my notice via text in July for an end date of Sept 15. I stopped in the office on August to make sure they would NOT process my Sept payment an I was assured it was all in order and I let the office manager know that in my text I had mistakenly given the wrong unit number but corrected it to the office manager . Sept comes along and they did in fact process the payment, so I call to have it returned and was told I didn’t follow procedure and would not get a refund. I sent the text message to the manager and was told they didn’t know who’s number I sent the original message too and that it was too bad because I spoke to him in the ‘wrong tone’ and he would make me learn my lesson. I called the main intake number and explained my issue and was told I would get a call back. A few minutes later the same thick accent man called to tell me that if I wanted to do things the hard way that he was willing to do that, and they had my address for my home. I asked to just get my money back for the Sept payment, hung up and called the RCMP again. The men who run this storage place are violent and treat women with contempt and disrespect. They should not have a storage facility or be allowed to run it at all.
AMANDA K | Experiencia generalThey continued to charge me for 4 months after I gave notice, and I have been unable to get my money back.
GREGG B | Experiencia generalThey’re a scam. They charged me $98, changed the price 4 different times prior to that for the exact same trailer utility they knew from the start, and then I asked if I could get a refund if I go elsewhere and they told me yes which I have on video and then they robbed me I have a recorded call of it. I’ll shut this place down with my lawyer lol. This guy owes me 100$ I’m gonna collect it 100 times over he doesn’t believe me though. He’s a cop caller rat who threatens people with his cousin rcmp that’s in sylvan. Illegal to use relative cop for statement.
RACHEL L | Experiencia generalIn mid June I told admin I was reserving a unit for August 1. Yet they continued to charge my CC for full rental though I was not taking the storage unit. I called. I emailed and was told it was an admin error and next month there would be no charge. The following month I was charged again full rate yet I still was not in the unit. Not trustworthy.
Roberta F | Experiencia generalManagement was VERY degrading and insulting . I would never ever recommend that storage . I would go so far as if I new anyone that’s a customer to move out asap
David S | Experiencia generalI never booked a storage room and they took a 20$ deposit and when I called they said to call U-Haul makes no sense at all just cancel it period
Eric C | ReservaciónVery pleased
Bobbi M | Experiencia generalAll was very good. The only negatives were the latch on F-20 was damaged and hard to close. Big pot holes in access road; made it rough to drive on.
Bill K | Experiencia generalAbsolutely Horrible People and Place. scammers, liars, dirty, rude, unpleasant and would NEVER recommend !! This should NOT be an advertised facility theough such a reputable company such as U-Haul. Lakeland Storage IS THE WORST facility in Central Alberta. DO NOT USE! I NEVER will again. Horrible Experience and Service!
tabatha f | Experiencia generalI DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS! I almost rented a storage unit from this location, but the response was unprofessional and raised concerns. So I cancelled my request, and even before I received the agreement to sign, they had already billed my credit card. I did not authorize any transactions nor sign an agreement with them. They’ve now blocked my number and will not respond to me, forcing me to claim unauthorized transaction through Visa. After reading all the similar negative reviews about this business, I will be contacting Better Business Bureau as well.
Brandie K | Experiencia generalA storage unit was reserved in error and was charged $20.00 tried calling Lakeland and U haul and got nothing but a run around. Neither of them could cancel this reservation or return my money. Call the storage unit and they hang up on you. Over 6 calls to u haul and rep at storage facility does not want to help to resolve the issue.
Veronica B | ReservaciónWe would use again if we needed to.
Morley B | Experiencia generalI would like to thank all the stuff for help and support for being friendly, accessible and helpful. Thank you so much!
Ruslan N | Experiencia generalWas treated extremely poorly, called a liar, told to stop talking and yelled at. This was when I gave my notice to vacate the unit. Had asked for a couple of extra days and was told I was lying when I said I was able to get in a few days early. Still haven't rescued my deposit from them.
