Rochelle G | Overall ExperienceI emailed the address listed on Irish Self Storage's website two weeks prior to the renewal date for my unit, as I wanted to cancel before that happened. I received no response, and of course, my unit then auto-renewed two weeks later. Attempting to call the phone number listed on the website sent me immediately to a voicemail box that had not been set up. I called the associated U-Haul facility number and finally was able to talk to someone. However, even though I stated on that call that I had tried to cancel on 7/15, my move-out date is listed as 7/30, so I guess I'm just out nearly $150 because I made the mistake of waiting for some actual customer service. Why can I sign up for a storage unit on my own but can't cancel one on my own? And if customers can't cancel on their own, the email and phone number listed on the website need to be serviced by an actual human being. It is both misleading and insulting to treat customers this way.
