terrible. access code didn’t work. customer service mentioned that i wouldn’t need to talk to anyone on site to check in. i arrive at 5am and codes don’t work. customer service then said that i’ll need to talk to someone, and they can’t do anything. this derailed my plans. i’ll took my business to Public Storage and they helped me out within 15 mins, on early sunday morning. will not be coming back here and will be telling others to do the same. do better uhaul!
Adityaashwinikumar S | Online Move InThe gentleman who “checked me in” to my storage unit was not familiar with the storage units we had to look at several different units before he could find one for me. I dropped off the trailer I had rented at the I eBay Uhaul in Seattle Washington on Sunday October 20th the person did not have me sign anything I am concerned that my rental return was not documented. Schools I do something more to be sure that the trailer that I returned was documented ? In addition the person helping me on Sterday October 19 at the Interbay Uhaul location in Seattle Wa. Say d that the “system” he was using at that Uhaul location was charging me $30 his assistant was able to VOID the charge. I want to be sure that was voided as the first month free storage on the one way trailer rental is applied to me. Other than that I was helped by several people at the three locations in Oregon with the installation of my hitch they installed on my vehicle in Beaverton Oregon although they had the Hitch at that location the wiring was not available there. I drove to Portland the next day to “pick up” the correct parts then drove to the Salem Oregon location where they installed the wiring kit I had purchased at the Portland Oregon location. All of the individuals in Oregon were VERY HELPFUL !!! Not so much at the Seattle location. I do have the names of all of the kind and very helpful people in Oregon especially those who helped me at the BEAVERTON OREGON hitch installation location and at the Salem Oregon location whom installed the wiring kit. I will find their names and be sure to let Uhaul know their names as these individuals went ABOVE and BEYOND excellent service. Making my experience with Uhaul a pleasure !!
Joseph M | Online Move InCleaned out my storage unit and went into the office to close my account and neither of the two employees knew how to complete the service. They made a phone call to then find out they didn’t even have the permissions to close my account. Had to leave my information to be contacted the next day by other employees, who I never heard from. Getting this link to a move-out review is the only indicator that I’ve been closed out. So incredibly mediocre.
Kathryn J | Overall ExperienceOh my, where to begin? Renting from this facility was the single worst choice I made during this move. Absolutely dreadful. I was given a passcode to enter after hours. I hired movers to unload my truck. The passcode did not work (I later discovered that this was an error on the part of the manager at the facility, who was helpful after the fact, but freely admitted to having 'screwed up'). I called every number available to me, described my dilemma, and got transferred, hung up on, and at one point, transferred to the police. I was waiting until nearly 1am for assistance, none came. My movers had to be paid ($280.00), which I fully expect to be repaid to me by U-Haul. I have tried everything to get my money back and have not heard from Corporate, nor have they returned my calls. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism and absolute ineptitude of all of the after-hours customer service personnel created not only a very expensive mistake that was 100% preventable, but a dangerous one. The area where this storage facility is located is extremely dangerous. I witnessed a drug deal while there. I parked my still full truck in their lot and left to go back to Salem. I was told by the manager there that they would provide assistance with unloading my truck so I didn't have to pay movers again (I'm elderly and disabled, on a fixed income). The manager asked a friend to help unload and he was older and more disabled that I am! He did a little unloading, and I gave my still unopened lock to the manager, Curtis. He was kind and tried to help me, but also could not get any district or general managers to return his calls and when he did, he was told differing things. When I arrived the next day to move my things to a better place, the key to my lock had gone missing. Curtis ended up having to cut my lock off, while my new movers waited outside. I ended up having to pay more movers and move my items to an actually secure facility across the street (Public Storage) that, incidentally, is significantly cheaper than the U-Haul at Inter Bay, for a much larger, more secure unit that includes elevators. The storage units themselves are basically useless, as they are made of plywood and are easily broken into. There was at least one that had been kicked in that I saw. This is not a secure facility! Do not store ANYTHING YOU CARE ABOUT in this place, and God help you if you require assistance after-hours! The website is deceptive, so be careful. "Split Level" appears to refer to the units, but it means there are stairs you have to go up to get to your unit, no elevator or ramp of any kind. The unit I had wasn't tall enough for me to stand in, and I'm only 5'4". Stay away from this place. There are so many storage places in Seattle, and most of them don't have plywood doors.

Malik B | Overall ExperienceThe lady who took my reservation was very helpful with helping me book my trunk and she immediately had answers for all my questions. When I arrived to this Uhaul location the nice gentleman behind the counter was very helpful as well. The staff were all very friendly and the lady who helped me book my reservation she gave me a tour of the storage units which were a lot smaller than I thought they would be but she was going to work with me if I needed a smaller storage unit as well which I was pleased to hear because moving is a pain. Thankfully I was able to fit everything in one larger unit instead of 2 units. It's rare now a days to find great customers service especially in this line of business where it seems like people are not grateful. I hate moving and I tend to get overwhelmed easily so I want to say "THANK YOU" to all the staff members at the Interbay UHAUL location for helping me pull my life together.

There were constant problems from the moment I rented the unit to the day I left and I will not recommend this place to anyone else. The staff is the only redeeming quality.
