Deanna CI had to take the truck to one location and the car accessory to another across town. Don’t do that to people. I was able to call and get it resolved by leaving everything at one location. Even though I was past work hours the owner came out to help.
Westley FThe person who helped me at pickup was friendly and helpful. However, the location did not make a good first impression—it looked unattractive and poorly maintained from the outside. I did not go inside, so I cannot comment on the interior. My main issue was the fuel charge. I was charged a $16.62 fuel surcharge even though my photos show I returned the vehicle with more fuel than it had at pickup. The truck was nearly empty when I received it—approximately 50 miles from empty—and I had to stop for fuel immediately before I could really begin using it. After I returned the truck, I left several voicemails for the location but never received a response or callback. That was very disappointing. The U-Haul headquarters/call-center phone support was prompt, professional, and easy to reach, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the local location’s lack of follow-up and the unresolved fuel charge ended the rental experience badly. Would I rent from this location again? No, I would not.
