Scanning license is a little of a hassle
100 percent over charged. Should been 0.79 cents per mile not 1.59 and 15 min late due to traffic was charged an extra day.
Horrible customer service. One of my worst experiences. Pure incompetence, rude. Made me wait for an hour after I had already signed up for everything online. There wasn't even anyone in front of me and I still had to wait for an hour. Do NOT go to this location or Uhaul in general. They are the WORST.
Provide close Drops off location
Your truck/van share system is shit. It sucks and I ended doing all the work your employees should have and it's a sham. Boo
The truck was completely full of snow on arrival. I drove 1.5 miles and was charged for 11 miles and a fuel charge. The time stamp on this return is also incorrect, so either someone took the truck out after I returned it or someone doctored the bill to increase the charges. I am disputing the charge for the entire rental.
The young Caribbean Lady who helped me was so fine that I'm actually at a loss for words. And I'm a WRITER! All I can say is, Keep Hiring Fine Young Ladies! Y'all doin' good!
When I returned it was very stressful because my phone was not registering the location of where I was returning the vehicle.

Zero accommodation for the weather. Was charged for a full week when it was prohibited for me to drive by law because of the 3+ feet of snow in NYC.
Greeted when I came in. And we're helpful.
Staff was not helpful, and very disorganized. Outside staff told me to go inside but inside staff told me only the outside staff can help me. I understand there was snow 2 days before picking up the truck, but I waited almost 2 hours for them to figure out how to get to the truck which was blocked by 7 other trucks. There were many other trucks on the lot that were the same size - I don't understand why I couldn't just take a different truck of the same size.
They were FANTASTIC and made me feel right at home!
The truck was poor check engine was on the exhaust was broken on the highway it only went 50 miles an hour. I was very disappointed in that truck it should have been taken off the road and repaired
Make sure the vehicles are thoroughly cleaned. The UHaul worker claimed that the vehicle was cleaned when I was given the keys, but that wasn't the case. The inside of the truck was filthy with dirt marks all over. To make matters worse, the Uhaul worker had a nasty attitude and had a negative attitude towards its customers. I was also informed that I could not leave my personal vehicle on the Uhaul lot while renting a Uhaul vehicle. What purpose and sense does it make to create a customer parking lot, to then be told that they could not leave their vehicles their while using services from Uhaul? Absolutely outrageous.
It would be great if when someone made a reservation a month in advance, you held to that reservation. You made my moving experience 10X more difficult than it needs to be, simply because you can't do the basics. I will never EVEr be using Uhaul again.
The window handle on the passenger side door was broken and kept falling off during the initial inspection before we even left with the truck. The guy doing the inspection said it was fine but it was such a hassle to roll the window up and down during the trip because the handle would not stay on securely. Secondly, upon arriving the next day to return the truck, the location was completely closed with no one inside. There were multiple other customers sitting with their trucks in the middle of a main street trying to figure out how to return their trucks. There was no mention when renting that the location would be closed the following day or any signs on how to return the truck. There was snow blocking both entrances to the parking lot, so I had to drive around the building multiple times while on the phone with customer service for nearly an hour because there was nowhere to park without getting stuck in the snow. Because of this, I was charged extra for mileage/fuel and also lost time with other stops I needed to make. I should at least be reimbursed mileage/fuel for something U-Haul failed to do properly. Being that this is not the first time it has snowed in NYC, there should be some type of plan in place for customers to return the equipment in this instance and not be charged for their negligence. This was a complete nightmare and my worst U-haul experience ever.
Truck battery died on me and I spent over an hour trying to get it restarted. This was a big pain, and caused us to lose a lot of time during our move.
Make sure the address you direct someone too over customer service actually exists and is not a residential building. (394 4th ave) i was told twice by two separate reps that the location would be here. it was even confirmed on my emails but the actual location was a 10 minute way away. this made me late to pick up my van and caused me a lot of stress being stuck out in the cold and not being listened to by people. also, the people you get to represent you all helping people move need to be better about communication. not giving someone a heads up or answering when the mover is already in a stressful moving situation (i.e., blizzard) is unacceptable.
I arrived on Feb 2, 2021 at about 4:40pm to drop off the vehicle but no one was at the location (presumably because of the snow storm) and the location was snowed in and I was unable to enter to leave the vehicle. I called the telephone number for the location and the message just said that uhaul was considered essential. After 15 minutes someone (a backup person) answered and put me on hold while they tried to reach the location and after another 15 minutes the line to her seems to have dropped. There was nowhere for me to park. After another 15 minutes of recorded messages telling me to wait for the next agent to assist me I left and returned the next morning (which also explains why I have a small mileage overage). It was not clear to me at the time that they were closed for the day and there was no such message on their telephone number and even the agent that was trying to assist me didn't know that
