The day we dropped off was mostly a pleasant transaction. I returned all of the equipment on November 29th. The lot attendant tried to tell me he is going to have to charge me for fuel since I hadn't fueled the truck. I asked him to recheck with me and he did, and verified I was right, I had just filled the truck to the proper level on the way in and he apologized. Simple error. A week after I returned, they tried to charge me more money saying i returned the trailer 3 days late. I contacted the store and the manager answered and told me i have late fees that need to be paid. I told him it had to be a mistake and he insisted it wasnt. I said well im not paying you. put me on e-alert then and ill send this to a lawyer. The manager then raised his voice and yelled, go ahead etc..dont threaten me..and hung up on me. I never cussed him or called names, but that is how he reacts to pressure. I spoke with corporate and they researched and found I was overcharged over $300. Simple research from that manager would have resolved this easily but he was too incompetent and rude to look into it. I shouldnt have had to call corporate to resolve this. Obviously if someone rents 4 pieces of equipment and returns them all in one day, red flags should be raised if I get nailed for late fees on 1 piece of equipment. I will always refer Uhaul, they have my loyalty, however avoid the Appleway store, as they do not appreciate a customer who rented 4 pieces of equipment for a 1200 mile move. This manager should resign, he does not belong in customer service.

The cab floor was covered in crumbs. Later as I'm driving, find the cupholder has crumbs in it causing issues every time I took a drink. I pick my battles and didn't complain when I noticed in Coeur d'Alene because I didn't think off crumbs falling on me while I drive would be an issue. Why wasn't the cab cleaned for me and my daughter?

I reserved the trailer through the 800#, and I told the girl the dimensions of the ATV that I was hauling. She said the trailer would work, but she neglected to tell me that the rear opening was narrower than the bed width. Thus I drove for 6 hours round trip and could not pick up the ATV. I had a very bad experience. The narrower rear opening of the “flat bed” trailer should be disclosed! I should not be charged for the use of the trailer.

Stop stealing money from people. I was a hour late and they double charged me. I even asked the person at the desk if i was a little late if it would be fine. And they said it won't be a problem. Called and talked to kenny the manager and shorty found out that he is one of the rudest people i have ever talked to.

From the moment you pull in you are confused. Do I go right or left? Where do i go? Where do I park? Then you go inside to find training happening and one poor underpaid lady trying to do it all herself. Equipment was great, worked perfect and lot service was on point. Upon returning everything was perfect, but you can tell your employees are not happy. As a business owner, your employees are #1. Your'e employee's don't feel that way. You've stuffed so many storage units into the location you can't function. I'm a native in this area and you ruined the flow of this location for $ and greed and it shows upon every aspect.

1-Star rating for follow up. I ended up not renting a car transport trailer and was told I would be refunded that amount. After almost 2 weeks, still no refund. Called U-Haul for answers and they would not answer the 1-800 phone. I online chatted with a representative and finally... she said it was being processed and will be 5 to 6 days more... We will see ! You failed big time U-haul !
