Dominick has a true mastery of spacial reasoning. He packed my 26' truck to the rafters and everything rode very well for over 1000 miles. He is also a great communicator, making sure we were on track for a week ahead of time. I highly recommend him and his team.

Chose Actual Movers because they were the top rated movers on this platform. TLDR they booked another move for my same day and then tried pushing mine back 5+ hrs the afternoon of the move. We rescheduled for the next day and got a third guy who was relatively new at the job as a bonus (?). When I expressed my complaints at the end with Dominic, he got defensive and lectured me that this was actually my fault. The actual move itself was fine and they were able to creatively fit my large couch through a small door, but the way Dominic handled everything makes me not want to book them again. More details. My move was booked to start at 1 pm and they told me they’d get there by 2 pm at the latest. However, they had booked a much larger move out in Sonoma the same day and then told me at noon that day that they would be late (3 or 4 pm). They then stop responded to me and then called at 3 pm saying that they’re just finishing up and wouldn’t be able to get to me for a couple more hrs.

This crew was amazing. Our move was postponed several times and they were gracious and polite about the delay. When they were finally needed they packed more than I thought possible into the pod, puzzling everything in. We ended up just barely needing a second pod. They were amazing! I will use them any time I need movers and recommend them to everyone!

We hired Actual Movers to load our U Box for an international move. We were afraid that our stuff wouldn't all fit into the tiny U Box, but they were very good at arranging everything and it fit perfectly! They were careful with our stuff and helped wrap everything in furniture blankets. Even with all that, they were very fast, finishing in half the time we expected

The Actual Movers arrived at our place in Sonoma county after prior tough, long move quite a distance away, and they still knocked out loading our furniture in what I consider record time and did it in a geometrically perfect configuration to fit everything in the truck. They're professional, courteous and friendly people. They'd be our first call for moving services in the future.

Actual Movers was a great choice to unload my U-haul truck at my destination. I hired 2 people for 2 hours and they quickly and efficiently unloaded my small 2 bedroom apartment, including a couch and king size mattress, in less than the 2 hours. They even cleaned out the truck's cargo area at the end. Dominic and Andre (apologies if misspelled) were both courteous, professional, and always moving. My mental health and the state of my belongings are forever in Dominick and Paul's debt. Dominick was communicative throughout the process. When they arrived, he treated my belongings as his and showed quite the care for them. I was under-prepared in my packing duties and Dominick took matters into his own hands to ensure my items were properly secured for my long trip ahead. When I did not think to purchase any rope to fasten my belongings in my truck, Dominick provided some of his own for free to me. I was quite impressed that three days into my trip, my items were still in place and in one piece. If you want knowledgeable, professional, careful moving assistance, then Dominick and his team are who you are looking for. Thank you, Actual Movers! I am now happy in my new home!

Actual Movers, Dominick and AJ were extremely professional, responsive, accommodating and talented in helping us clear two storage units into a home, in Crescent City, even though they are based in Arcata. Professional in person Tetris players, muscle machines, and all around good guys. Their attention to detail to help us sort items into sections meant that unloading went a little slower but will make a huge positive difference in unpacking on our part. Hold a heavy piece of furniture so I can put bumpers on the bottom and remind me about other pieces? --check! Be a calm understanding force between family members in a stressful situation? --check! Get the job done in less hours than scheduled and impress us all around in the process --check! Dominick was so accommodating to move up our appointment and communicate with me the night before and morning of, which is especially reassuring since we didn't meet in person. Would highly recommend.

Anyone considering hiring this company, beware! They banged my furniture into doorways & walls, leaving gouges in the walls & my furniture. They broke my wicker furniture. They didn't pay attention to the box labels & unloaded so haphazardly, they quickly ran out of space so they unloaded the rest of my stuff outside w out asking me, where it was rained on & stolen, after they stole from me first. I would've been so much better off if I'd unloaded all by myself! As it was I had to move everything into place & in from outside. I paid for 4 hrs but they only worked 3 hrs before demanding the payment code. They didn't set up my bed or hook up my washer dryer like they agreed to do. I contacted the owner after the move to inform him of all my damages & loss & instead of trying to remedy the situation, he was defensive, rude & quick to insult. He is extremely unprofessional & refused to take any responsibility for what he & his workers did. In my opinion, he's a liar, a criminal & a thug.

These guys were great. They unloaded our 14 foot truck in one hour! My only critique is that the movers should have a GPS in their truck. We could not provide great directions since we just moved!
