I reserved the equipment on-line. It was no hassle and quick to pick it up. HOWEVER, I was not aware of the e-mail link to confirm the condition of the equipment PRIOR to leaving the lot. It would be helpful if the customer service rep at U-Haul had told me to check for the link and confirm condition PRIOR to leaving the lot so that there was no potential for me being been held accountable for damage I did not cause.Christine W.

Needed a van for a local move and one was available, clean and ready to go. I only drove 26 miles and the van took over 2 gallons of gas when I filled it up. The overall experience was great. I needed a pick up truck to move some tables and chairs for my kid's birthday party, so instead of calling around to family and friends who own a truck I just got on the U-Haul website. The whole process to reserve a truck took minutes and the staff was very friendly. I had no issue at all reserving a truck and I was even able to rent a pick up the next day to return the table and chairs. This took a huge weight off of my shoulders, as many know how difficult it is to navigate a chore like that when you do not own a truck. Thank you U-Haul!!Joshua L.

I actually moved out if the storage in the 19th if August and due to me not having transportation to get to the facility and check out I had to call, that was a nightmare I tried calling the facility numerous times with no luck I called from the 18th to the 25 if August. I finally reached someone around the 28th. Now my move out date reads the 31st. Customer service is not the too priority with this certain facility. Shame cause I've used U-Haul many times in my Navy Carrier and never had a problem. I will use them again they are a great company just this one time if bad communication and lack of a vehicle in my part will not turn me away from U-Haul I am a loyal customer and will always use them.Michael M. | Overall Experience

Got there for drop off a couple minutes before closing and staff was still there. Told me they were closed and I needed to do the online self checkout. I reserved a truck, an appliance dolly and 6 pads 2 days before I needed them . When I signed out I check the back of the truck and no dolly or blankets - went back inside to get dolly and they did not have any at this location. I ended up having to drive 9 miles the opposite direction to get a dolly that should have been there. And got charged the mileage!! for your error. I jus barely made my 7PM to meet to get the furniture I had purchased. I should have at least been notified n=but in reality your employees should have made sure my order was complete and ready to go. Iam not faulting the employee on duty and I did not take it out on him. He did comp me the blankets which I did appreciate it was more of my time spent doing what your employees are paid to do.Jay J.

The coupler had a quick connect type of mechanism rather than the old screw down type with a spring detent. While it held to the ball fine, the issue was that it wasn't tight on the ball which left a lot of slop so that the hitch banged on the bumps. Other than that, the trailer pulled fine and did what it was supposed to do.Thomas P.

Went to pick up uhaul on moving day and was told there was no longer a truck for us that someone cancelled it the night prior. Was blamed for doing said cancellation at a specific time in which I was driving in from out of town, making that impossible for me to do. Went home in a panic that we couldn't move, and 10 min later got a call they had a truck that they just had to cut the key. Truck rode extremely rough, alignment was off making it impossible to keep on the road, had chipped windshield in drivers view. Not at all worth the panic of not having a truck initially and the $570 they charged me. Won't be using uhaul again.ZACHARY S.

We were satisfied until the very end. We emptied one of our units 6 weeks before the due date and the second one 2 weeks before the due date. SEVERAL people told us we would get a refund on the unused time after our final unit was emptied. Upon completion we were told refunds are not done. This wasn't fair as uhaul could have re-rented these units and gotten double money on them. We've learned our lesson. Storage was good. Jeff at the whipple store horrible. I didn't appreciate him sending me down to the uhaul store in the drug infested area in canton. He had told me the truck would be available at the whipple location once we arrived @ the whipple store I was told to pickup on E Tusc. After arriving @ the store on Tusc. the young lady could not find my rsvp. Back to whipple the gentleman had to call the manager to get things straightened out. Manager upgraded truck. Rsvp a second truck & Jeff once again screwed up. He was to schedule pickup Canton & return & he did not. Manager once again took care of the problem. No I will recommend renting truck from uhaul location. Jeff horrible poor customer service never smiled & I pray he didn't do what he did based on what he THOUGHT was social economics. I have zero issues with the location itself. Rosie is great and deserves a raise. What I do not like is uhaul itself. You cannot for the life get ahold of anyone. When you call it gets directed to customer service. On hold for 30 min plus at minimum. Piss poor communication to say the least. Pay your employees more and you might actually have workers..... This is not a one time rental. I rent from uhual 2-3 times per week and it is a shit show every single time trying to reserve a truck. Again this has nothing to do with the location or workers this is for corporate and management.CORY D.

I estimated 15 miles of travel to the attendant using the truck. I traveled 19. So I was charged 24 dollars for gas because the guy said it was at 3/8th tank instead of half and charged me for 5 gallons of gas. So unless the trucks get like 4 mpg, feels like I was ripped off.JUSTIN F.

I feel all tow behind trailers should come with a spare tire. The sales person said it would be up to the customer to have a new tire put on. That is not right. Also each uhaul store should have a person answering the phones. I tried many times to contact the store to confirm a trailer would be there, but always got transferred to the main office. I originally paid $220 for a 24 hrs 26 foot truck. Paid for an additional 100 miles and only ended up using less than 15 of those miles, and put an extra quarter tank of gas left than how we originally got it and returned the truck earlier than the expiration time at 5pm. My partner and I aren't thrilled that we paid over $200 for a 24 hrs rental car that we had to drive ourselves paid $80 in gas, and only drove less than 90 miles in. Totaling in about a $300 purchase. Idk why someone didn't suggest a larger refund than $20.Jessika N.

The gentleman that checked me in was excellent! My complaint is with the condition of the facility itself. There were absoluteLy no lights working in the hallway & was told it couldn't be fixed until Monday (after moving day). Could not see anything inside of my unit. Snow was not cleared around the door so we could not get carts to work. As soon as you walk in there is nothing but others peoples JUNK facing you. I paid slightly less for a PRISTINE unit in MI that i could even drive my vehicle into for loading/unloading. I will be looking for a different storage unit elsewhere. My experience with my storage unit was down right horrible. The staff at this location is one of the worst staffs I've seen in any business that is still open. They are not accommodating, make you jump through hoops to get things done and sometimes down-right nasty. I would not recommend this facility or ANY of their services to anyone. Was told I had access until 10:00 pm. Got there at 7:30 pm and could not get access per instructions given to me. Had to call number on door for manager. First she did not answer cell phone. Had to call second time before she answered. She said I had to use both access places because it was after 7:00 pm. I did and door opened but not sliding door. Had to call her a third time to find out how to open sliding door. Was told it would not open because it was after 7:00 pm. When I went to open unit I rented it was full of trash and had not been swept. We had to find a broom and sweep it and clean out trash. I call her a fourth time to report this. She called me today and apologized for all the trouble and dirty unit. She said she noted on my account I would get 20% off for the rest of my rental. I asked her why the representative did not inform me of additional things to access after 7:00pm. She said she would talk to them but could not answer this because she was not there when I rented. If I had not been able to contact her last night I would have been denied access. I had a semi truck making delivery at 8:00 pm.
