We set up the unit with autopay. We put our credit card number on file. We used the card on file to buy packing supplies. When it came time to pay the second month's rent it wasn't charged to our card. Instead we got a late notice and we were charged a $15 late fee. I tried to call numerous times but no one ever answered. I went to the U-Haul website and used the chat function. I was assured twice that I would receive a call back from the local GM. I never got a call. I stopped in and was treated very rudely by the person who was working. I sent an email to the GM but never got a response. She was quick however to send a notice of a rate increase. Our rent was paid through 9/21 but our account was closed on 9/15. Luckily we had removed our belongings by then. The business practices are unethical and the customer service is horrible. I'd never rent from that site again and would never recommend it either. There are plenty of other storage places around and I'd recommend any of them before U-Haul.Joseph S. | Overall Experience

Our locker was in the rear of the "temperature controlled" building. It was still VERY warm in the building, all the time. It wasn't cool like the front of the building was. Also, it was an extremely long way to walk from the front parking lot....it is ridiculous that they don't allow people to use the rear entrance to load and unload their lockers, especially since the rear entrance is right around the corner.anne w. | Overall Experience

The communication between your call-center and your stores needs to be improved upon. I needed to use a car trailer from 9 AM to 9 PM. My original reservation was canceled because of a damaged trailer so I had to drive 30 extra minutes to get another trailer from a different place. They would not give me the trailer unless I returned it by 5 PM because it was already rented to somebody else. The call-center told me I had the use of a trailer till 9 PM. Because of this I did not get what I needed to get done done . I returned the trailer at fivePaul G.

I think that you have to make mobile check in accessible without having to go inside and get keys from counter. I went through whole process and had to walk back and forth across a very large lot to first find vehicle, then get keys, then go back to vehicle. There was a at least a 20 min line in front of me, and had I not been kinda rude and walked to the front and interrupted another customer with the one person working, I would have had quite a wait to get the keys. Also think you should let people know they will need a passport, lease, employer phone or third party phone to finalize the pick up.Zachary S.

Though I find it hard to recommend ANY Uhaul dealer to a friend, after the way I was robbed on this transaction. More than $100 per day for a dinky 4x8 trailer??? If Uhaul had any competition in Northern Idaho, I would have gone elsewhere, and will try my best to avoid Uhaul in the future. Kudos, however, to the friendly clerk in North Canton, who removed the bogus Saf-Tow charges after I complained.Charles W.

Lady told us not to fill it because they dont reimburse for gas. So we didn't, then I get charged an extra $31. THEN I asked for an appliance dolly and it was supposed to be held for me with the truck and when I got there they said they don't have one. I went there to rent a trailer, and there was a good amount in the parking lot, went into the store to ask since I am aware it's Friday and there might be reservations, the two ladies working quickly responded with no none are available. I asked if they can set me up a reservation at another location and was told no. I asked why and they said they already knew there was none available anywhere as they have been looking all day. Mind you this was in the afternoon on a Friday, some might have been returned. But they refused to do their job and look. Could tell I was interrupting whatever non work they were doing. I left pretty upset and was verbal about it since those 2 ladies have done this to me a few times in the past. So I went back to my car, went online and did a reservation for a trailer they had that was available. Not only was I lied to, it proved more that they just don't care about their customers. Went back into the store, told them I had a reservation for a trailer they had and told them turns out you were wrong, the one lady was surprised but check me out and was a little more professional about it. Got the trailer all hooked up and went home, once I got home I checked the inspections stickers and saw that the trailer has not been leveled inspected for weeks now. Did the inspections myself and had a tire with low pressure. Got that fixed. When I returned the following day, the other lady was way more professional then I have ever seen her be. She actually came out after I got the trailer disconnected. Went over the condition with me, explained the low pressure tire, stated she will look, got my receipt and left. That was experience was better then I have been treated there in the past. Which was nice. Overall tho, this GM need to train their CSRs better, the MCP needs to train her GMs, be more professional and make sure all their equipment is properly inspected each and every time, week and month as required. Talk about customer service this is one of the best experiences I have ever received. I rented a trailer upon returning it a torrential downpour came down it was literally raining sideways so I was going to wait until it slowed down to unhook, while sitting there waiting I got a tap on the window and there was a young lady in a rain suit asking if I was using the card on file I said yes I cannot believe she actually came out and unhooked me in this downpour.Charles D.

The map showed doors in the back, they don't work and I was place all the way in the back. The access hours are horrible. Where I moved from in escanaba I had use them for storage it was excellent. I had to drive 50 miles out of my way to get the truck, then I got a text saying it wouldn't be ready until an hour later. Went to the storage unit and I can not Get into my unit only during business hours. My code doesn't work, unloading took a very long time due to the location of unloading docks. I got a text to drop the truck somewhere else and I called and refused to do it. Gas is 5 dollars a gallon and giving MORE mileage is not a reimbursement to transport your truck to and from my scheduled pick up and drop off. I actually moved out if the storage in the 19th if August and due to me not having transportation to get to the facility and check out I had to call, that was a nightmare I tried calling the facility numerous times with no luck I called from the 18th to the 25 if August. I finally reached someone around the 28th. Now my move out date reads the 31st. Customer service is not the too priority with this certain facility. Shame cause I've used U-Haul many times in my Navy Carrier and never had a problem. We were satisfied until the very end. We emptied one of our units 6 weeks before the due date and the second one 2 weeks before the due date. SEVERAL people told us we would get a refund on the unused time after our final unit was emptied. Upon completion we were told refunds are not done. This wasn't fair as uhaul could have re-rented these units and gotten double money on them. We've learned our lesson. Storage was good. Jeff at the whipple store horrible. I didn't appreciate him sending me down to the uhaul store in the drug infested area in canton. He had told me the truck would be available at the whipple location once we arrived @ the whipple store I was told to pickup on E Tusc. After arriving @ the store on Tusc. the young lady could not find my rsvp. Back to whipple the gentleman had to call the manager to get things straightened out. Manager upgraded truck. Rsvp a second truck & Jeff once again screwed up. He was to schedule pickup Canton & return & he did not. Manager once again took care of the problem. No I will recommend renting truck from uhaul location. Jeff horrible poor customer service never smiled & I pray he didn't do what he did based on what he THOUGHT was social economics. Due to ur storage system being down. They couldn't rent a storage unit to me. Even though I reserved one a week earlier. But expected me to pay for an xtra day to rent the truck. To keep my stuff in.. Assistant Manager was very rude. (Granted at this point I was not happy) He rufused to comp any of this contract for my inconvenience. And none of this was my fault. Everything in my UHaul experience was positive, except the Tow Dolly experience in Toronto.... They sent me to a facility that did NOT have a Tow Dolly...... And I wasted a lot of time driving across town to get one.... Then their computer didn't show that I had already paid for the Dolly.....
