Our contract was highlighted showing a certain amount of gas in the truck but the gas gauge in the truck showed was that it was less. We took a picture of it when we inspected the truck before leaving the lot and my husband went inside and showed it to the guy who did our reservation. Instead of coming outside to see for himself, he made a comment to my husband about going on-line to submit something. WHAT!!!!!!. So, when we returned the truck, we made sure that we put back the same amount of gas as given to us (on the photo that we showed to UHAUL), before we left the lot at our pick-up. Later on when I looked at my final bill, they (UHAUL on Jimmy Carter Blvd in Norcross, GA) actually charged us NOT replacing the amount of gas that was highlighted on the contract. I would NEVER give any business MORE THAN WHAT WAS GIVEN TO ME!!! Maybe you all should tell your employees to thoroughly check the gas gauges before writing up the contracts because guesstimating and amount that you think it should be, is not right. I guess he thought that I wasn't going to submit a complaint. I'm not a regular UHAUL customer but next time, I'll have second thoughts about renting from this location. Other services we good but don't play with me when it comes to knowing what's right and wrong, especially when I can point it out to you beforehand!glenda M.

I took the 26 foot uhaul at 2:00 pm yesterday Thursday 10/22/2021 and I should return it by 7:00 pm First the van is too old and not maintained good air goes inside and need alignment you have to put two hands on the steering wheel so you can hold it straight from shaking , I went to pick up stuff for my business and I stopped by a gas station to put gas and the van don't turn on I got stuck 2 hours for nothing and the road assistance took so long so I end up bagging people to help me and thanks god I saw a guy is a mechanic that's after 2 hours waiting he fixed the uhaul and I paid him $100 in cash That's a crazy day and I end up coming back home at 1:00 Am without loading anythingRYAN Z.

The man made us pay extra for him to load the car on the transport. That is unacceptable. I had no experience of how to do that and came to uhaul so that you all could do that for me. I pay over 100 to rent a trailer and he needs 25 extra dollars to tie the car down? That makes no sense. How is that a uhaul policy? The two men that helped me were VERY nice & extremely respectful. They went above and beyond to help me with my Uhaul rental. I ordered a truck to be picked up at the snellville location (2 miles from my house) However, 12 hours before, U-Haul emails me and tells me I need to go to Conyers to pick it up (the opposite direction of where I'm going - add maybe 45 mins to an already 30 min trip)â€¦ The review is long, but if U-Haul keeps attempting to screw people over like this, your business is in trouble.Cooper M.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. 0 out of 5 stars. Canceled my 9am reservation when I arrived @10am even though it states pick up truck anytime on my order confirmation. I had issues with self check in and only found out bc their site was giving me errors and unable to complete. No cancellation email or notice was provided at all. I had to make a new reservation inside the store at the counter. This process took a long time also because the computers were moving extremely slow. Agent changed my drop off location from Lithia Springs to Kennesaw without my consent which was not near my drop off location. Agent told me to call uhaul customer service to change drop off location instead of him fixing the mistake himself. Didn't make it to my destination because the truck broke down not even 5 miles away on the hwy in the middle lane. Had they just assigned me a different truck when I notified them that the previous one broke down, this would have been a different review. I had to wait for someone to come out to the vehicle and â€œpossibly repair on siteâ€ before being able to get another truck. It was determined almost immediately truck had to be towed and was inoperable which was already evident since it broke down on me while driving on a busy highway and being stuck in the middle lane - which was highly unsafe and could have caused an accident. - HERO response vehicle came to move the truck to the shoulder safely. I tried filing roadside assistance claim online - still more issues with website. I called and was on hold for over 30 mins and still couldn't reach anyone on the phone for roadside assistance. Went back to the location instead of waiting on hold longer to advise of the truck issue and asked for another operable truck. I was told I had to wait until they dispatch repair provider to the truck and make repairs before assigning me a new truck which was the dumbest thing I've heard of. Why should I as a consumer have to be inconvenienced for time when I was given a faulty vehicle????? They should have just swapped the trucks out for one that was operable when I notified them of the issue and bc this took hours to resolve (repair provider didn't show until 2pm) my paid movers left and were no longer available to move that day had to cancel reservation altogether. Uhaul literally made me waste money on movers and now I have to pay an additional month of storage because I was unable to move today. Extremely dissatisfied. Probably won't work with uhaul ever again because of this immense financial burden it caused me for NOTHING!!! Business should not be conducted like this. Yes I will receive refund for my reservation today but what about the money that it cost me to hire 3 movers to load and unload my items from storage and another full month of storage fees?? I DO NOT recommend at all. Worst experience ever with uhaul. Honestly, I should have been compensated for my time and these add'l costs to me but of course all they will say is â€œI am sorry for the delay in you moveâ€ which does nothing for me at all. You can start by making sure the vehicles are cleaned before renting and then charging the customer for returning the vehicle in the same condition it was released in. In addition, make sure the hood of the vehicle is closed before renting, could have resulted in major issue. You may also want to consider customer service training as the sales rep that handled the rental was quite rude. The first comment she made to me was â€œwe don't take debit cards or cashâ€ with a nasty attitude. You should know I am disputing all additional changes and will never rent from this location again.DERIC H.

I returned my trailer I rented at 9:35 sunday and the gentleman who was checking everyone in unhitched the trailer put it back in another spot not the one I picked it up in and said thank you have a nice day this afternoon I check my bank account there is additional $20.00 charge when I called the associate who answered said there was nothing she could do about it that charge was from where I turned my trailer in last night or before they opened today the trailer was turned in today AFTER the store opened the gentleman who checked me in didn't check it in till later and it didn't help it when the associate said she couldn't help me when clearly I didn't make the mistake. Noel Marin, the store manager was very unprofessional. I ordered 7 U-Boxes from the Norcross location and booked some movers through U'Haul's refural program. Movers never showed! Noel have away my U-Boxes without notifying me. He claimed to have called; not true. Had to hire movers to load my stuff into their storage units, unload them and then load into my new house; cost me $4,000 extra! The storage units had holes in them! I rented 7 U-Box's and reserved a moving company through U-Haul's referral system. The movers never showed up. So, the Manger, "Noel," from the Norcross location just gave my boxes away. No call, no warning at all!! He is an uncaring awful human being. I had to hustle to find same-day movers, which I did. But sine Noel gave away my boxes, I was screwed.
