The truck rented should not even be on the road. Pieces all along one side were taped on. The check engine light was on. The cab was very dirty. Several dents & scrapes all over the truck. The truck had no AC which is pretty unacceptable in a southern state. Very glad it was a local, one day rental.

Ahmad A.First off anytime you try to call they almost never answer. Secondly the side door to the storage unit area would not close and was open to who ever wished to enter. Appears to be vandalized. Then there was a lot of trash leftover from people by the door like moldy mattresses and coaxial cables, cabinet. Lastly the unit was "air conditioned" I had a small unit on second floor and quite a few of my things were moldy. I don't expect to use this facility again due to too many inconsistencies.

Al R.WAS OVER CHARGED, I WENT 12 MILES THEY CHARGED ME FOR 120 MILSE. LOCATION CLOSED EARLY AND THE RETUNING ADMIN WAS NOT THE FRIENDLIEST, I WAS SPEAKING ABOUT THE DISPUTE AND SHE COMPLETELY WALKED OFF. HOWEVER, THE OWNER AS WELL AS THE GENTLEMAN WITH THE LOCKS WERE VERY ACCOMMODATING.

Breonna P.I reserved a utility cart, but the sales rep said he had just given away the last one upon my arrival at 7:45am; then he attempted to SELL me one in the store for $60?! Not the kind of resolution I was expecting. The same sales rep then gave me the keys to my truck but didn't want to come outside to assist me. He assigned a truck that was in the back and was blocked in by other trucks so I had to go back inside of UHaul to have the rep come outside to move the other trucks out of my way. Why didn't he know this before my arrival? I also didn't know that my truck rental was only for 5 hours which was not enough time; when I attempted to extend the time, I was told “NO†because someone else reserved the truck, but what about MY needs?! I arrived 1st…this male rep at the Jimmy Carter Blvd location was dismissive and unprofessional. I will never use this U Haul location again; in fact, I won't be using UHaul again.
Bridget W.I went to rent the trailer and the woman who helped me informed that there was no trailer available, there would only be availability if I had booked on the website. I did this and she gave up saying that I would have to book 1 day in advance. I called customer support who solved the problem and that was the only way I was able to rent it. I lost 2:30 inside this store. I will never return to this store again.

steve C.Make sure that what's reserved is available. I reserved an appliance dolly and only a regular dolly was available and it did not have a strap on it. The driver's seat on the truck was torn up there was a seat cover on it that was torn as well. But I will have to say that customer service was good. I did get my vehicle at the time requested. I actually needed to get it about an hour later I called customer service and they were great. When I got to the store the person that helped me I can't remember her name but she was great. Overall my experience was good with this location I was just upset that I didn't have an appliance dolly that I had reserved and also the gas was almost on "E" when I picked the truck up.. like I said My overall experience was good, this is my second time using this location and I would probably use it again in the future if needed.

ELGIN W.Your systems are completely broken. You change my reservation so that I get the size of truck needed which is great but then you (corporate or systems) get rid of my second day of rental. I had to use emergency time off work and missed out on pay because of this. Then I get charged surge pricing even tho I'm traveling in town? Your processes are BROKEN. Fix it. The truck I had was in terrible condition. Engine light on, rattling noises the whole drive. Dicks carved into the side graphics.
Regan B.When we arrived to pick up at the scheduled time guaranteed during booking there was not a truck available. The location told us that while we did have a confirmation time of 1:30pm for pick up there was another link that showed a different time for pick up 3:30.

Charles Z.I received the truck rental on empty the gas light was on. I brought it to the manager attention and snapped a picture of it, I was told that if I return the tank to 1/4 I will be compensated for my fuel. I then went to the gas station and filled up the tank because I was going to another state I underestimated how much gas it will be for both trips so I brought it back 1/4 from half full. I return the truck earlier because it was rattling and had a noise coming from the front right tire. Upon checking the vehicle I told the young man who checked it in. Overall I felt depreciated as a valued customer because NO customer should have left with a truck on empty. I will Never rent from Uhaul nor will I ever recommend it. Very unsatisfactory.
Vernesica C.The person that checked me in also checked me out four minutes later so when I brought it back it was listed as checked in. The windows were filthy in this old smelly wreck of a truck. The A/C did not work, the rear door stuck, the turn signals did not cancel. When I brought the truck back there is a BIG yellow sign that says to stay with your vehicle and someone will come out, that never happened. When I went in to check out the young lady that was on her personal cell phone literally sighed when I asked for a receipt, she was telling people to just leave their vehicle and drop the keys. She then just got up and walked away towards the door, I asked if I should follow, she muttered something and kept walking. She then put her hand behind her, again saying nothing, I assumed she was requesting the key from me. She was not able to check it in as it already was, at that point a very helpful and nice person took over for her and was able to help me. Not a good experience at all.

Bianca A.Maybe train the techs a little longer/better…my tech, real nice guy…kept me in the loop along the way. Had great customer service skills and I'd like to think he did his absolute best even though his manager left half way through the hitch installation on my vehicle. So, after being at this U-Haul location for quite some time for this install (almost 4.5 hours)…nice kid…he was really doing a good job at keeping me informed etc….I pay and leave…get home. Go to test the lights with the trailer I rented from a closer location. The WHITE paint all the way around both of my tail lights had been taken off by whatever tool they used to pop the tail lights out to connect the wires for the hitch….really u-haul???….I've had this car for a few months, it was expensive for me but bought it when we found out I was pregnant. The father, my long time boyfriend was a Honda tech and handled all my vehicle issues including cosmetic but has unfortunately taken his own Life 8 days after my baby arrived in the world. This is ridiculous U-Haul. Please do not train your techs to damage people's vehicles when paying your company to install etc on customer's cars. It's not his fault. Again, seemed like a great kid. But now, the damage on my car is all I look at now.

Adedayo A.I was charged for 30 extra miles on my rental. The truck # in my reservation didn't match the # they gave me, miles were wrong, fuel was wrong. I pointed this out to the tech, and he told me to go ahead and check it out on the app and "I'll take care of it when you check in". I uploaded a photo of the odo to the app on checkout showing the discrepancy. When I checked-in, the attendant said that they didn't have any record of the picture, so it was their word against mine. Which is awesome.

ELGIN W.It's obvious the uhauls are not checked and cleaned prior to renting them out. I rented a trailer, as they were hooking it up to my truck I went to check the back to make sure it was clean. As soon as I opened the door a horrible smell hit me along with multiple items such as a blanket, cardboard, food, drink etc were in the trailer. The sales associate nonchalantly said "oh a homeless person must have been sleeping back here."as he pulled the blanket and cardboard out. He said they'd remove the stuff, I told him it smells horrible as well, needed a good scrub down and I didn't want that one. I looked at two other trailers and neither were clean. I chose the one that looked better and had to ask them to sweep it out, the one associate agreed, but it was obvious he wasn't happy about it. I pulled it over to the cleaning station and he took a blower to blow it out. After he was finished, I did have to ask him to blow the dirt out the corners too. Ths was a horrible experience. I've rented from uhaul several times and this was by far the worse experience I've had. Uhaul expects customers to return their rentals clean, they check them and will charge you a fee if its not. I've never been charged a fee because I always return clean equipment, cleaner than how I receive it for sure,, even if it's not how I received it. This experience is unacceptable and was definitely inconvenient. A customer should not have to go through 3 trailers and still have to ask for it to be cleaned. ALL equipment should be checked for cleanliness prior to assigning and hooking up equipment. If you're reading this don't take their word and trust that your rental is clean, CHECK YOUR RENTAL! Otherwise you could be in for an unpleasant surprise when you get to your destination. Uhaul please do better, the same way you expect your customers to return equipment is the same way you should be giving it to them. Also, employees shouldn't be bothered by a customer wanting clean equipment or asking for them to clean it. I called customer service several times regarding this experience. Each time I was told the GM would be calling me, I've yet to hear back from anyone. This makes it pretty obvious just how much customer concerns are to the Uhaul company and individual facilities.
Chaddra W.On both days when I needed to retrieve my u box and return it, this location cancelled my reservations at the last moment. Which resulting in me having to take 2 extra days off of work, due to their negligence. On 3/7, they cancelled my access to my u box because someone made a 'Typo' and typed the wrong date of retrieval. I was also charged for a full month, even after my u box was emptied 2 days prior to payment date.

The rep was told I need to fit living room furniture in the unit. when I got there they said my reservation was for a 4 foot storage unit which is basically a closet. Previously I made a reservation in Laurel, md. For july2nd. When I got there they said the truck was in Washington DC. I drove there only to be sent to the heart of Baltimore. I ended up driving to 5 different locations before getting the truck then another location for the car tow dolly. Then when I got to the drop off location after driving 750miles that was attached to my drop off/storage location, I was told that I didn't have a reservation for storage and could not drop off cause they don't take one way trucks. I showed them the information but they said they couldn't find it. When I left and went to a public storage and signed the papers I got a call from someone saying they "found" my reservation and to come back. Public storage was already closed so I couldn't get my money back. This was after paying $150 in additional cost for the public storage that I didn't even want. After calling and speaking to several reps I was told the drop off location in my records was correct so I went back. The lady said, "I don't take one way trucks and equipment but I need it so I'll take it!" So because she needed it was the only reason she accepted it. Such a disappointment cause I've spent well over1,200$ in the last month with uhaul only to have my furniture and other items spread all over Atlanta because people can't perform their jobs properly. To say I was inconvenienced would be a drastic understatement. If I could rate 0 stars I would.

Movers never showed! Noel have away my U-Boxes without notifying me. He claimed to have called; not true. Had to hire movers to load my stuff into their storage units, unload them and then load into my new house; cost me $4,000 extra! The storage units had holes in them! My stuff was soaked, mildew filled & full of rat turd!! STAY AWAY FROM U- HAUL IN NORCROSS, GA!!! Considering a law suit.

So, the Manger, "Noel," from the Norcross location just gave my boxes away. No call, no warning at all!! He is an uncaring awful human being. I had to hustle to find same-day movers, which I did. But sine Noel gave away my boxes, I was screwed. Sherry Cox was amazing and was able to get us a storage unit. Sherry should be the manager!! ALL STAFF WAS GREAT accept for the Manager Noel! He was terrible.

I ended up having to get 2 storage units. Now I have to hire help again to get everything back out and find a new storage place that can fit everything. I only have a 1 bedroom apartment.

I reside out of town and when I would come back in town to retrieve merchandise from my unit, I could not gain access because she constantly changed my access code on the gate without notice. It got pretty expensive to have to stay a extra night on three separate occasions when I was trying to gain access after store hours, and wasn't given a adequate reason why I access code was changed on so many occasions.
Francias C. | Overall ExperienceYou have an employee Her name is Pondra, that was forcing me to buy insurance on the storage, when I had previously talked to 2 different people that didn't mentioned anything about an insurance, she said I had to purchase insurance since I was getting the first month "free" for he storage and then she got upset because I asked to talk to her manager Noel Marin. Also the unit I had previously "reserved" #1020 was an occupied unit and we found out until we got there. Then I had to comeback to the office to let them know. They took a long time to find out what unit was available because I told them I had seen unit 1018 empty and I wanted that one, but they said it wasn't available (an empty unit). They didn't give me that one. Then I finally leave the office with a different unit # and they didn't give a new gate code, so I got lock out outside the gate because my previous gate code didn't work anymore after they changed my storage unit and the truck was inside already the storage area.... well, I had to comeback to the office AGAIN and everybody was gone so, I had to chase them down to get them to fix my situation. So once inside your employee Pondra was very upset because it was past 7 pm and they were still dealing with "ME" but she didn't want to help me with anything, she totally ignored my previous request for help when I was inside the office. She pretended that didn't see me and pretended to be busy, even when I tried talking to her she will answer "hold on" and disappear and stay outside talking with people. Finally they figured out what to do with the gate code and made me choose a new code number, so this time I asked Somarion to walk with me to the gate and make sure I had it right. And while I was dealing with this whole situation Pondra was rude to my son, she asked him to move from in front of her because he (my son) wasn't supposed to "see her counting the money"... note: he was sitting on the customer area, just waiting for me to finish and she was inside the employee side and she had the decency to ask him to move from there and she told him "he wasn't supposed" to see her with the money YES just like that. It was a very frustrating experience that took almost 2 long hours to complete and get right. I was really upset!!! You need better and trained customer service in there!!!

I had some trouble with access to my indoor storage unit the last time I was there and had to wait for someone to help...I was told I was the first one to access the indoor units that day so my code wasn't opening the doors and they had to be opened by a manager, seems odd for a facility that is supposed to have 24 hour access.

Per the general manager he couldn't assist me with the phone call after he helped he was gone for the day. During what looked like a high traffic location at 11am. He could of been more helpful in the situation but he was rude. After dealing with him he left a bad taste in my mouth with Uhaul. I will use my free month with my UHAUL rental and move straight into a Public Storage. Units are "supposedly climate controlled" and dirty.

After making the people I hired wait over an hour which cost me more money. When I came again in two weeks store manager never answered any of my 6 calls Noel so I called another manager who helped me . My truck wasn't ready for my next rental and they said it would be 4 hours. Horrible time there Noel should learn how to treat customers. I would not recommend this place to anyone

Grapevine location did not place the tire rubber stoppers on the auto transport (services I paid them for) and the bottom of my vehicle was cracked and dragging on the ground preventing me from driving. The Norcross location, was very nice and helpful. I can appreciate customer service experiences like this. I am grateful to them.
